Despite rallying with 13.0 points on Sunday, the Ice Hogs once again fell short of a win, the defending FHL Cup champion now strapped with a league-worst record of 0-5; the ham-and-goose-egg Hogs skating into Week 6 as the only winless team in the league.SC Cobras: 56.7
Ice Hogs: 53.2The Ice Hogs were thinking “comeback win” after defenseman Charlie McAvoy netted two goals and 9.0 points, but in the end it was to no avail as the Domi-best SC Cobras scored enough points to secure their 4th win of the season. In defeat, the Ice Hogs find themselves buried another game deeper in the Probert, the tattered team trailing the division leader by 4.
Bluliners: 61.0
Baba Booey: 42.3While all eyes were on the Central Red Army and Cherry Pickers in the heated battle for the weekly $10.00 bonus, the Bluliners stole the show with a 16.5 point closer; GM Hamilton securing his 2nd cash prize of the season. The league-best week also gifted the Bluliners another win, the team perched atop the Probert with a mark of 4-1. Baba Booey slipped to 3-2 on the year, the Booeys parked one game behind the Grimson-leading Lumberjacks.
Central Red Army: 59.9
Rocky Rocks: 53.3
The Central Red Army were denied the $10.00 bonus but still departed the week with a victory, GM Buker’s in-form squadron now 2-3 on the year, two games behind the Domi leader. Rocky Rocks played well but still lost, the team tumbling to 2-3 on the season, also two games behind the Domi-best SC Cobras.
Lumberjacks: 35.0
Misconducts: 23.0The Lumberjacks didn’t deserve to win but they won anyway, a paltry 35.0 points providing GM Recoskie with his league-best 4th win of the season - the Jacks sitting alone on top of the Grimson, one game better than the competition. The Misconducts were the worst team of Week 5 and they got what they deserved, another loss - the slumping team now hampered by a record of 1-4.
Cherry Pickers: 54.9
Polar Bears: 43.3
The Cherry Pickers improved to 3-2 by rolling the Polar Bears, GM Recoskie’s 1st place overall squad remaining one game behind the division-best Bluliners. The Bears saw their H2H record sink to 2-3 on the year, the buried Bears now two full games behind the Grimson-best Lumberjacks.
Wild Ducks: 53.6
Boulder Flyers: 31.0
The 11th place Boulder Flyers played poorly again, a disturbing trend that has left the almost-basemented team with a record of 2-3. The Wild Ducks improved to 3-2 with the waddle-in-the-park win, the Ducks still trailing the best of the Grimson by a single game.
NOTE: Last week the Bluliners were mistakenly credited with a loss (they won). The standings have been fixed.
