WEEK 4 (thru Monday) Empty

WEEK 4 (thru Monday) WZiPFIx
Thirty-three year old Jeff Petry has the Misconducts pointed in the right direction, the late 4th round draft pick - and now, the NHL’s highest scoring defenseman - netting two goals, an assist and 12.0 points, GM Smalley’s quick-start team already sporting a double-digit H2H lead.

Ice Hogs: 4.6
Misconducts: 19.7

The Ice Hogs are bringing the better record to this match, the 2-1 squad pitted against the Misconducts and their sub-500 mark of 1-2. Typically the oddsmakers favor the team with the better record, but the Ice Hogs have been struggling. The same however goes for the Misconducts - the up, down and down-again squad dropping their last two matches. Ultimately, the winner of this match may not be the team that performs well, but rather the team that struggles the least.

Central Red Army: 4.0
Wild Ducks: 0.0

Two of the best teams in the league go toe-to-toe in this marquee match of Week 4. The Wild Ducks, 2-1, begin play on a red-hot roll - the defending FHL Cup champion posting the best score of the season in Week 3. The Central Red Army have been as-good or better throughout, GM Buker’s 3-0 squadron finishing near the top of each week contested thus far. While it’s impossible to predict the winner of this heavyweight Yankee division bout, a ridiculous number of points should be scored.

Baba Booey: 14.5
Rocky Rocks: 11.0

A meeting of two 1-2 teams as Rocky Rocks and Baba Booey faceoff in Week 4. On paper, the Rocks appear to be the favorite, the team having scored 19.4 more points than Baba Booey through the first three weeks of the season. The Booey’s however are bringing additional muscle to this all-important encounter - the muscle being David Pastrnak and his ridiculously accurate shot; a shot that could, by week's end, place GM Carling in the Week 4 winner’s circle.

Cherry Pickers: 4.0
Lumberjacks: 0.0

Bragging rights at the next family gathering are up for grabs as the Brothers Recoskie lock horns in Week 4. The Cherry Pickers begin play as the overwhelming favorite, the undefeated, still-perfect, 3-0 squad outscoring the Lumberjacks by 29.8 points in Week 3. Hell-bent on turning their game around, the Jacks, 1-2, benched four of their starters from the previous week - the wide-eyed shakeup sure to send an urgent, possibly winning message to the unexpectedly underperforming squad.

SC Cobras: 6.5
Polar Bears: 4.0

The Polar Bears are in dire need of a win. With a league-worst record of 0-3, the Bears simply can’t afford to lose - a record of 0-4 practically eliminating the team from playoff contention. Win-parched, the SC Cobras are also thirsty for a “W”, the sub-par snakes, 1-2, hoping to slither their way back into the playoff picture by upending their Yankee division foe. On paper this match should be extremely close; both the Bears and Cobras playing their very best hockey the previous week.

Bluliners: 1.0
Boulder Flyers: 8.0

At a glance this looks like a hugely lopsided affair, the undefeated Bluliners, 3-0, doing battle with the winless Boulder Flyers, 0-3. A closer look however reveals that the Bluliners, through the first twenty days of the season, have totaled only 6.2 more points than the Flyers. Additionally, the Flyers have proven to be the Bluliners Achilles heel - GM Morgan’s squad having defeated the Bluliners in seven of their past eight meetings.
