Polar Bear Ben Bishop was sensational on Friday as the unheralded netminder pitched a 31 save shutout.Polar Bears: 60.5
Ice Cats: 44.2
Redliners: 43.2In first place from the opening bell, the Polar Bears have often appeared on the verge of collapse. When they reach that verge, they routinely uncover a wealth of points, turning back all suitors to the top rung of the FHL ladder. Week 4 was no different as the impervious franchise exploded for 21.4 on Friday, galloping to their 2nd win of the 2013-14 season. More importantly the Elya-guided team expanded their advantage in
the overall standings; now 23.5 points greater than the wide-eyed Bluliners.
Ice Hogs: 47.8
Dream Team: 45.7
Wild Ducks: 35.3The Ice Hogs continue to show signs of life as the two-time FHL Cup champion leveled their record at 2-2. A 13.0 Friday would prove to be just enough points to reel-in the no longer starry-eyed Dream Team. The Wild Ducks meanwhile continue to fester in the FHL basement. With their lifeline greased with vaseline, the highly decorated franchise continues to slide deeper south, their record now 1-3; their deficit in the race for the FHL Cup a miserable 89.8.
Bluliners: 58.7
Misconducts: 41.3
Boulder Flyers: 37.7"Aw fuck!" is what GM Morgan muttered to himself as he looked at the box scores, his inept Flyers firing mostly blanks on the final day of Week 4. Conversely, GM Hamilton was all smiles as his Bluliner franchise improved to 2-2, milking Friday for 10.7. The Misconducts had been tracking in the wrong direction but saw their ship righted on Friday, harvesting 15.2 to maintain their grip on third place in the the race for the coveted FHL Cup.
