Bluliners
Looks like balance was the name of the game in this draft. The defense is above average in the top two spots with Karlsson and Yandle. The forward corps look to be a mix of old with Alfredsson, Richards, Spezza and new with Kane and Eberle. Do Richards and Alfie have anything left in the tank? The Bluliners are hoping for a bounce back season from both. The goaltending should be solid with three full time starters in Luongo, Smith and Dubnyk. Karlsson should lead the way for this team but, in order to win an upgrade at forward  and third defenseman is in order

Boulder Flyers
The Legend returns with a solid draft. The forwards should be solid but not spectacular but, there is definitely potential. I do not think we have seen the peak for Tavaras, Benn, Duchene and Kane so there could be lots more points here. Defense is solid with Suter being the anchor. Carlson has the skills but has yet to elevate his game. Could this be the year? The Flyers hope so. The goaltending is good and a a bit better if Hiller wins the job outright in Anaheim. No superstars on this team but a tweak here and there could make this a successful season.

Dream Team
Stamkos is a stud no doubt and should be in the top 10 in league scoring. Can veteran forwards Sedin, Thornton and Backstrom bounce back from poor 2012-13 season? Does Vinnie has anything left in the tank and who is going to get Cammalleri the puck in Calgary? The defence is a solid unit with above average potential. Keith, Doughtry and Campbell have the potential to have above average seasons. Goaltending is also pretty solid with Rinne and Price. The question is Emery the real deal. He had a great comeback season last year but can he hold up playing 60 games or more??

Ice Cats
Cindy Crosby leads the way and could be the leagues top point getter. The BIG question is can he make it through the season? Sharp is returning from injury and Hossa is always hurt as well.  Kessel and Sedin are solid. Defense has some potential to score some points. Striet could get a huge boost now that he is in Philly and Schutlz has not ever scratched his point potential. Rask stands alone for goalies on this team. It is unclear how many games the one top 10 pick Broduer will play and Ramo may be lucky to win 20 games. This team needs Crosby healthy and a goalie or two to win the cup.

Ice Hogs
By far the best goalies in the league. All solid 30 Game winners nuff said! Average set of forwards as only Kopitar stands out. Ryan should fair better this year playing with Spezza and Vanek and Marleau are good but not consistent on the score sheet. Old and injury prone would best describe the defense. Boyle , Gonchar and Markov have all been solid producers in the past so can they overcome injuries and age? May need some help to win the cup.

Misconducts
Very solid top 5 forwards but, is Ovechkin back to form and can he stay there? There are lots of assists on this team from St Louis and Getzlaf. Lupol and Skinner have been hit by the injury bug the last couple years so the jury is still out on them for this season The defenseman are solid veterans but , no upside  like some of the other teams youngsters. Here what you see is what you get. Goaltending for this team will be solid but not spectacular. Lots of wins could be in store for Howard and Holtby. Ovechkin needs to be the Ovechkin of old in order for this team to win the cup

Polar Bears
Hands down best defense in the league. These guys could score a ton of bonus points Injury concerns for Letang linger but overall they should league the league in defensive points. Average forwards led by the upside of Cotoure and the uncertainty of Gaborik. He can score but can he stay in the line up? The rest of the group could score 25 goals each if the puck bounces the right way.The Bears have three solid goalies who should start the majority of their games. Fleury will bounce back and Ward seems over his injury. May need a couple forwards to have a shot at the cup.

Redliners
Solid draft with Taylor Hall and the talented Toews leading the way. Look for Nash and Parise to have 35 goals each and bounce back from last year. Took some chances here on defense with Enstrom returning from injury and Voynov whose potential has yet to be seen. Very solid starting goaltending. Niemi is solid and Nabokov is playing for an up and coming team. Backstrom is good but has battled injuries. Overall may need some tweaking and one of the defenseman to step up

Wild Ducks
Last the defending champs. Malkin fell into his lap at number 4 and is one of the  top forwards in the league. Staal and Datzyuk are as solid as they come with additional pop in Semin and Franzen. The defense is rock solid and should be one of the best in the league. If Mike Green can stay on the ice there will be plenty of points for this crew. The Ducks could have a revolving door in Goal as Miller seems the only sure goalie to get most of the starts. Reamer may slit time with Bernier and Thomas may or may not make the panthers. To repeat as champions the Ducks must get an additional goalie and Green must stay healthy.
