PLAYOFFS PREVIEW - Championship Match and Consolation Match DJa7Soy  VS. PLAYOFFS PREVIEW - Championship Match and Consolation Match JTZw60F

COMBATANTS: Misconducts (15-9); SC Cobras (14-10)
AT STAKE: The winner will be crowned the 2021-22 FHL H2H Champion and will receive a crisp $120.00 bill for their effort. The loser will depart the playoffs disappointed, but they won’t skate away empty-handed, the runner-up gifted $50.00 for their close-but-no-cigar finish.
H2H: The SC Cobras and Misconducts did battle in Weeks 6 and 17. The Misconducts won the first match, 41.2 to 35.5. The Cobras were the better team the second time they met, defeating the Misconducts, 44.6 to 39.9.
POINTS PER WEEK, AVERAGE: Misconducts, 47.4; SC Cobras, 45.3
OVERVIEW: The SC Cobras shouldn’t be here. They’ve toyed with the Laughing Bag for much of the year, the team currently planted in 11th place. The 9th place Misconducts haven’t been a whole lot better, but they’ve been better nevertheless. Based solely on their overall play, everyone should bet against the Cobras. Most might, we sure as hell won’t. Considering their playoff performance to date, it wouldn’t surprise us if the Cobras won this match by double digits - playing on one leg, blindfolded, with their sticks tied behind their back. It’s been that kind of playoff run for the cryptic Cobras and it probably won’t end here.

COMBATANTS: Cherry Pickers (13-10); Lumberjacks (13-11)
AT STAKE: If you’re willing to concede that $20.00 is in fact “all,” then this is an “all-or-nothing” affair; the winner of the consolation match to receive $20.00; the loser, squat (a.k.a. nothing).
H2H: The two teams matched hockey wits in Weeks 8 and 19. The Lumberjacks were superior the first go around, winning 61.1 to 49.1. The second meeting would favor the first-match loser, the Cherry Pickers avenging the loss, 54.9 to 48.0.
POINTS PER WEEK, AVERAGE: Cherry Pickers, 49.7; Lumberjacks, 46.0
OVERVIEW: Hoping to rake-in a ton of advertising and merchandising dollars with a “Recoskie vs. Recoskie” final, the league was forced to settle for a “Recoskie vs. Recoskie” consolation match. Worldwide, this match won't generate much interest, however, the league is hoping they can bamboozle friends and relatives of the pair into buying the overpriced t-shirts, coffee mugs and Recoskie bobbleheads - enough to pay the utility bill, anyway. Which team will win? My gut is saying the Cherry Pickers, so I’m going with the Lumberjacks (my gut is currently is 0-5).

NOTE: Both matches are two weeks in length (Weeks 25 and 26). Teams will be able to adjust their rosters at the start of Week 26.
