No Kucherov (injured), no Robertson (injured), no Landeskog (suspended), no Stone (injured), no problem - the SC Cobras using a Drew Doughty 12.0 point explosion and a Sam Bennett hat trick to capture the first $10.00 bonus of the season, the banged-up Cobras beginning play in Week 2 as the best team in the league.SC Cobras: 52.9
Baba Booey: 24.1The SC Cobras routinely dismissed last years Laughing Bag recipient, the snakes improving to 1-0 with the lopsided victory - the Cobras currently King of the Domi division. After last years debacle Baba Booey was hoping for a better start. A better start they did not get, the Booeys falling to 0-1 on the young season, the second year franchise parked at the bottom of the Grimson.
Cherry Pickers: 49.4
Misconducts: 30.1
Typically a solid H2H performer, the Misconducts were atypical in Week 1; GM Smalley force-fed a loss - the Domi division Misconducts entering Week 2 with a record of 0-1. The Cherry Pickers had a solid opener, the team finishing just shy of the $10.00 bonus. For their second-best effort, the Pickers were gifted a win, GM Recoskie sitting atop the Probert division with a record of 1-0.
Bluliners: 34.2
Ice Hogs: 19.7
A Probert division battle that was no battle at all, the Bluliners coasting past the Ice Hogs with a comprehensive 14.5 victory - the Bluliners sitting shoulder-to-shoulder-to-shoulder with two others, the Probert division fielding three undefeated teams. The Ice Hogs were the only Probert team to lose, GM Henry and his 0-1 Hogs hoping for better as they lace their skates in preparation for Week 2.
Rocky Rocks: 35.7
Wild Ducks: 30.3
This non-divisional contest was close throughout but in the end GM Collard didn’t have enough healthy Ducks in his row, the Grimson division Wild Ducks falling to 0-1 with the 5.4 point loss. Rocky Rocks improved to 1-0 with the victory, GM Rocky and his Rocks sitting on top of the Domi division, tied with the SC Cobras.
Lumberjacks: 46.3
Polar Bears: 44.0
As the 4th best team in Week 1, the Polar Bears were deserving of a win. They lost - the Bears pitted against the 3rd best team in the league. The Lumberjacks (the only Grimson division team to win) improved to 1-0 with the hard-fought victory. The Bears and their 0-1 mark were dispatched to the Grimson basement - there they sit with the Ducks and Booeys.
Boulder Flyers: 23.6
Central Red Army: 23.3Neither team was deserving of win, the Boulder Flyers and Central Red Army posting the 10th and 11th best (worst) scores of the week. As the league dictates, somebody has to win - and that team was the Flyers, their paltry 23.6 points bettering the even worse 23.3 points secured by the Army. The lucky Flyers are 1-0 on the season, the Army, 0-1.
