WEEK 7 (FINAL) 0mkFXno
Fans of the Boulder Flyers were showered with 68,000 pounds of confetti as they rejoiced on the jam-packed streets of New Baltimore, the team - despite their late-week struggles - hanging on to defeat the Lumberjacks, the last place Flyers securing their very first win of the 2020-21 season.

Boulder Flyers: 51.7
Lumberjacks: 44.9

Seven weeks into the season the Boulder Flyers are 1-6. While their chances of qualifying for the playoffs are virtually nil (could be literally nil, haven’t done the math) GM Morgan is taking comfort in the fact that his Flyers will not be the first-ever team to close the season without a win. By losing to the worst team in the league, the Lumberjacks postseason hopes took a sizeable hit - the first-year franchise falling to 3-4 on the year; the Jacks still two games in back of the second and final postseason berth.

Baba Booey: 37.7
Cherry Pickers: 37.0

In the final period of the final game, Dominik Kubalik pushed Baba Booey past the finish line; Kubalik’s goal - with 5:46 remaining in the week - handing the Cherry Pickers their very first loss of the season. With the very tight, very important win, the Booeys improved to 3-4 and remain part of the playoff conversation. The previously perfect Pickers are no longer blemish-free - the Cherry Pickers, 6-1, however are still sitting alone atop the Canuck division, their lead shaved to a single game.

Ice Hogs: 61.2
Polar Bears: 41.7

On the strength of a clutch 8.0 point game by Alex DeBrincat (1g, 3a) the Ice Hogs lay claim to the $10.00 best-week bonus, the Hogs closing the week 5.3 points better than the Bluliners. In addition to the cash prize, the Hog boss saw his postseason stock soar - the team now 4-3 on the season, one game back of the Canuck division lead. The Polar Bears were expected to win, but didn’t - the Bears playoff hopes now very much in danger as they sit three full games behind the division leader with an almost Boulder Flyer-like record of 2-5.

Wild Ducks: 44.1
SC Cobras: 31.4

There was no drama here as the SC Cobras were fang-less on Sunday, the struggling franchise and their week-worst score tumbling to 2-5 on the season - the postseason hopes of the Cobras now hanging by a very fine thread. Conversely, by dismantling the SC Cobras the Wild Ducks playoffs hopes saw a sizeable gain - the team improving to 5-2 on the season; the Ducks now sitting alone on top of the Yankee division - one game better than three other teams.

Central Red Army: 46.3
Misconducts: 32.9

The Central Red Army can once again brag of a winning record, the team improving to 4-3 by defeating their division leader. With the victory, the Army remain hot on the heels of the Canuck division crown. By losing, the Misconducts were knocked off their Canuck division perch, the 4-3 squad now seated shoulder-to-shoulder with the Central Red Army - both teams one game in back of the division-leading Wild Ducks.

Bluliners: 55.9
Rocky Rocks: 50.0

After consecutive losses the Bluliners made a return trip to their winning ways, the Original Six franchise improving to 5-2 by taking down Rocky Rocks. The victory leaves the Bluliners in second place in the Canuck division, one game behind the Cherry Pickers. Rocky Rocks is now a sub-500 team, the Rocks slipping to 3-4 on the season - a record that leaves the second-year franchise three games behind the best of the Canuck.
