Boston only scored three goals but the three goals resulted in 10.0 points for Badger Bob - Patrice Bergeron pacing the attack with his 16th and 17th goals of the season - the Bobs and their 17.5 point Friday moving to within 7.9 points of their former first place home.Badger Bob: 42.4
Ice Hogs: 35.9Badger Bob’s assault on first place garnered the headlines but the Ice Hogs quietly posted the best Friday score, Alex Pietrangelo (1g, 1a) guiding his now-in-fourth-place team to a strong 22.0 point showing, the Hogs still very much in this battle of division leaders, trailing the Bobs by just 6.5 points.
SC Cobras: 22.6
Central Red Army: 18.5
It’s too early to call the battle for the FHL Cup a two-team race, but it’s looking like a two team race, the 3rd place SC Cobras falling 54.5 points behind the leader after potting just 10.0 points on Friday. The Cobras however are still in front of their H2H opponent, the retreating Central Red Army - now in 11th place overall - trailing the snakes by 4.1.
Wild Ducks: 29.2
Bluliners: 20.2
Eleven NHL games resulted in just 4.7 points for the Friday-quiet Bluliners, the league-worst number dropping GM Hamilton’s squad into 5th place overall. The paltry performance also dropped the Bluliners further behind the Wild Ducks, their deficit just one point shy of double digits.
Cherry Pickers: 34.8
Rocky Rocks: 21.6
Trailing by 15.8 points after opening day, Rocky Rocks have a long row to hoe. That row however is a tad shorter after Friday - the Rocks (11.6) outpointing the Cherry Pickers (9.0) by 2.6 - GM Rocky still hopeful, his team trailing the Pick by 13.2 points with two days remaining in the holiday-shortened week.
Misconducts: 29.0
Polar Bears: 20.9It was a relatively quiet night for both teams as the Misconducts skated away with 7.0 points, the Polar Bears just 5.9 - the Misconducts carrying a relatively heavy 8.1 point lead into a relatively light nine-game Saturday.
Vegas Vipers: 28.2
Boulder Flyers: 26.0
The Boulder Flyers were slightly better than their opponent on Friday - outpointing the Vegas Vipers 17.5 to 14.1. As such the Flyers "thru Friday" deficit is slightly less, the birds now trailing the Vipers by 2.2.
