Despite being buried in the basement - trailing the 11th place team by 37.8 points - the Polar Bears and their revolving-door roster refuse to throw in the towel, the defiant 2016 FHL Cup champion once again tracking toward a win, the Bears currently 2.8 points better than the Ice Hogs.

Boulder Flyers: 29.5­
Nearly smothered to death by the abundant weight of John Carlson, the Boulder Flyers were breathing again on Thursday evening, Andrei Svechnikov (1g, 1a) pacing the team’s 10.8 point effort, the Flyers drawing to within 3.1 points of the D-heavy Misconducts.

Cherry Pickers: 17.1
Wild Ducks: 25.0
Considering there were nine games on Thursday, league-wide, there weren’t a lot of points to be had. The Wild Ducks and Cherry Pickers collected more than most - the Pickers and their 8.0 point performance now trailing the 7.0-point-Thursday Ducks by 7.9.

Vegas Vipers: 15.4
Central Red Army: 13.6
The Central Red Army advanced on the Vegas Vipers but their movement was largely inconsequential - GM Buker gaining 2.6 points on his strolling opponent, the Army now trailing this pitched battle of 4-5 teams by 1.8 points.

SC Cobras: 22.0
Badger Bob: 17.0­
Facing a “three losses in four games” scenario should they fall to the SC Cobras, the once impervious Bobs brought 7.0 points to the Thursday table. The number bettered the hand of the SC Cobras by 2.0 points, Badger Bob still 5.0 points in the red heading into a light five-game Friday.

Bluliners: 24.8
Rocky Rocks: 14.0­
After being outpointed by the Bluliners 9.0 to 5.0 on Thursday, the win-needy Rocks find themselves standing in a waist-deep 10.8 point hole, GM Rocky hoping for a better outcome as he carries a heavy 10.8 point deficit (and a rabbit’s foot) into the final three days of the week.
