When the going gets tough, the tough get shutouts; Cam Talbot and his 26 save gem turning back the advances of the teeth-clenched Misconducts, his Ice Hogs team now leading by 13.5 points.Ice Hogs: 27.2
Bluliners: 15.5"Bending but not breaking" is apparently the Ice Hogs' 2016-17 modus operandi, the first place team again surviving a Misconducts assault. The Hogs almost-week-best score has also provided GM Henry with a comfortable H2H lead, his team now 11.7 points better than the Bluliners.
Misconducts: 22.3
Boulder Flyers: 19.6Despite being in 2nd place overall and possessing the league's best H2H record, there is no GM more frustrated than GM Smalley; his team closing to within 00.5 points of 1st place, only to be pushed back once again. The Misconducts are also mildly frustrated with their Week 16 opponent, the league-worst Boulder Flyers trailing by a mere 2.7 points.
Wild Ducks: 11.0
Badger Bob: 15.0While not as frustrated as the Misconducts boss, GM Collard is no doubt grinding his teeth. Seemingly on the verge of taking control - trailing by just 17.9 points at the beginning of the week - the Wild Ducks have done an about face, the quacks now trailing the Hogs by 34.1 points. The underdog Bobs aren't complaining as they currently nurse a 4.0 point lead.
SC Cobras: 27.9
Polar Bears: 6.0With the week being 10 days in length, the league is hesitant to alert the Fat Lady. The rotund one however could soon be receiving a text, this non-divisional confrontation featuring the team with the best score of the week and the team with the worst so-far tally.
Ice Cats: 17.6
Central Red Army: 13.6With regard to qualifying for post-season play, the Ice Cats desperately need a win; a record of 7-8 placing GM Cutshall's team just outside of the H2H playoffs. One day removed from the All-Star break, all is peachy in the Cats camp as they currently lead the favored Central Red Army by 4.0 points.
Between the Pipes: 10.0
Silicon Valley Slashers: 21.9No longer able to afford a loss, the Silicon Valley Slashers are hoping to take advantage of their current situation - doing battle with the league's last place team. The Slashers have responded positively to their predicament, a solid 21.9 points providing GM Murphy with a thick 11.9 point lead.
