WEEK 27 (thru Thursday)

On more than one occasion Matthew Tkachuk looked toward his teammates and wondered “What the hell is your problem?!” - Tkachuk the only Baba Booey player to find the scoresheet on Thursday; the Booeys and their hugely disappointing 1.0 point effort now in danger of a no-money finish, the week-worst team - an FHL Cup contender just days ago - only 11.5 points clear of the win-nothing grounds of 4th place overall.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
With only 16 games remaining in the season, the league has granted the Boulder Flyers permission to begin chopping paper into confetti for their anticipated parade, the Flyers and their good-enough 8.5 point Thursday now leading the suddenly-struggling 2nd place Booeys by 51.6 points.



Johnny Gaudreau’s 40th goal and 115th NHL point kept the 3rd place ($120.00) Bluliners in front of the 4th place ($0.00) Wild Ducks, the B's bringing a scant 0.3 point lead to a huge season-defining 15-game Friday.

The Bout for the Money
With no one skating on the final day of the week, the time is now for both the Bluliners and Wild Ducks - the answer to the “Who wins money?” question hinging on who does what on Friday - including, who sits and who plays on Friday. Baba Booey (currently holding $250.00) isn’t out of the woods yet, the team just “another bad day” from being bounced out of the Top 3. The Booeys however do have an ace up their sleeve as Pierre-Luc Dubois is scheduled to play on Sunday; the one-game final-day of the season. While the Central Red Army appear to be running out of time, they still have a (long) shot at the money - the Army trailing the 3rd place Bluliners by 19.4 points.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
The SC Cobras returned to 11th place on Thursday, the 2021-22 H2H Champion now, somehow, seated next to the 2021-22 Laughing Bag Chumpion.
