The SC Cobras are not only streaking toward a huge upset win, the California-based franchise is now in the mix for the $10.00 Best Week bonus; defenseman Cam Fowler (1g, 1a) spearheading a Friday-best 18.0 point assault, the Cobras now close to 20.0 points better than their favored yet floundering opponent.

Round One, Playoffs

Boulder Flyers: 29.6
SC Cobras: 47.9­
Not expecting to encounter much resistance in Round One, the Boulder Flyers are getting Ralph Macchio-ed by the SC Cobras, the FHL’s best team shackled to an 18.3 point deficit with only two days remaining in the week.

Baba Booey: 30.9
Lumberjacks: 27.0­
Baba Booey only scored 2.0 points, which allowed the Lumberjacks to scoot 2.3 points closer, GM Recoskie still hopeful of a come-from-behind upset win, his Jacks well within range as they trail the Booeys by just 3.9 points.

Wild Ducks: 36.9
Misconducts: 41.7­
Tage Thompson potted two goals and 4.0 of his team’s 10.1 points, the David-Misconducts now leading the Goliath-Ducks by 4.8 points heading into a stiff nine-game Saturday.



Despite being peppered by both the Bluliners and Wild Ducks, the Boulder Flyers heavily-secured 1st place door has yet to be breached; the Flyers - despite their recent struggles - still sitting (somehow) on top of the FHL.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
The Boulder Flyers only scored 6.0 points but the number was greater than the digits posted by both the Wild Ducks (5.0) and Bluliners (3.0); the Flyers overall lead still razor-thin at 2.6 points. In 4th place overall, Baba Booey also failed to produce much in the way of points, a dismal 2.0 point performance dropping the Booeys 30.0 points back.

The Bout for the Money
The SC Cobras and their league-best effort now trail 3rd place overall ($120) by 146.0 points - the chances of the Cobras landing in the money upgraded from “NO WAY IN HELL” to “no way in hell.” Beyond that there wasn’t much to report, all the Top-3 contenders hoping for better (and more points) on Saturday.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
With the SC Cobras explosion, the Lumberjacks were blown into 11th place - GM Recoskie reluctantly entering the Laughing Bag conversation, his Jacks currently 48.4 points better than the basemented Rocks.
