WEEK 6 (thru Monday) Empty
PostSubject: WEEK 6 (thru Monday)   WEEK 6 (thru Monday) EmptyTue Nov 16, 2021 6:47 pm

WEEK 6 (thru Monday) QRtnER4
Hoping for better in Week 6, the Boulder Flyers got better on Monday, defenseman Zach Werenski (1g, 3pts) guiding the wings-sorta-flapping birds to a 9.4 point opener; the Flyers now with 11.3 points of breathing room in their attempt to avoid the dank FHL cellar.

Boulder Flyers: 9.4
Rocky Rocks: 0.0

If you ever wanted to attend an FHL match, but have no money, this match is for you. With only three family members and a drunk purchasing tickets to this tepid tussle, the league has decided to give the tickets away. That’s right folks, you can watch the 11th place Boulder Flyers skate against the 12th place Rocky Rocks for a grand total of nothing. No line. No waiting.

SC Cobras: 0.0
Misconducts: 5.5

The Ice Hogs and their no-win start have hogged the headlines but the Misconducts ain’t much better, GM Smalley dragging a 1-4 record to this pivotal Domi division clash. The odds of the Misconducts skating away with a win aren’t very good, the looking-up team facing the looking-down SC Cobras and their league-best record of 4-1.

Bluliners: 2.0
Central Red Army: 6.0

This pairing should be a beauty as the two hottest teams in the league lock horns in Week 6. The Bluliners have won the last two $10.00 bonuses. Before that, the Army grabbed the cash. Last week the Bluliners posted 61.0 points. The Army were on their tail with 59.9. Not sure why people call matches like this a “barn-burner” (I’ll look that up later) but a barn-burner this one be.

Cherry Pickers: 0.0
Ice Hogs: 1.0

When you are desperately seeking your first win of the season, who are you gonna call? The very best team in the league shouldn’t be on the list, but that’s where the Ice Hogs find themselves in Week 6 - the win-starved franchise (reluctantly) traveling to Ontario, Canada to face the, yep, very best team in the league. If you’re a betting man, well, you know.

Wild Ducks: 0.0
Polar Bears: 3.0

The Wild Ducks, 3-2, are one game removed from the top of the Grimson division. The Polar Bears, 2-3, are currently seated in the Grimson division basement. Both teams want to win. Both teams need to win. The Polar Bears need to win more.

Lumberjacks: 4.0
Baba Booey: 0.0

A pairing of two teams that are tracking in the opposite direction. The Lumberjacks were good early but bad late. The Booeys were bad early but good late. Despite their average play, the 9th place Lumberjacks, 4-1, are still the King of the Grimson. The Booeys, 3-2, want to be the King of Grimson - a status they will attain if they jolt the Jacks.
