The SC Cobras endured a brutal points-heavy attack on Sunday yet still emerged the victor, GM Murphy - despite yielding 18.8 points to the guns-ablazin' Central Red Army - awarded a second consecutive $10.00 Best Week bonus; the Cobras and their red-hot start still the very best of the FHL, their lead over the second place Cherry Pickers currently 9.7 points.SC Cobras: 60.8
Central Red Army: 55.9The Central Red Army returned from the dead on Sunday as the previously lifeless squad erupted for 21.0 points; defenseman Roman Josi wielding the biggest sword with one goal, three assists and 12.0 points. Despite the remarkable effort the team was dealt a loss (though they did jump into the middle of the standings) the Army tumbling to 0-2 on the season. The SC Cobras begin play in Week 3 as one of only three undefeated teams, the injury-plagued Cobras (and their magic act) sitting alone on top of the Domi division with a record of 2-0.
Cherry Pickers: 54.6
Rocky Rocks: 21.0
The Cherry Pickers were one of the best teams of Week 2; Rocky Rocks were the worst - the Pickers routinely kicking the Rocks to the curb, the 2nd best team in the league defeating the last place team by 33.6 points. With the win, the Pickers are the only undefeated team in the Probert division, GM Recoskie sitting on a one game lead. The Rocks are now 1-1 on the year, the team - despite a solid start to the season - now frantically searching for something to plug the hole in the bottom of their slow-moving tanker.
Lumberjacks: 50.3
Ice Hogs: 49.6Glaring at what would have been a truly horrible defeat, the once-in-full-control Lumberjacks rallied on the final day of the week to turn aside the Ice Hogs - the Jacks using a 7.5 point final day to rally past the Pigs. The nail-biting win keeps the Jacks perfect record intact, the second-year franchise sitting atop the Grimson division with a mark of 2-0. The Ice Hogs slumped to 0-2 on the season, the defending FHL champion sequestered in the very bottom of the Probert division, two games behind the division leader.
Baba Booey: 45.6
Boulder Flyers: 40.2An impressive Saturday would prove to be enough for Baba Booey to secure their first victory of the season, the team hanging on to defeat the Boulder Flyers by 5.4 points. With the comeback win, the Booeys improve to 1-1. Despite being housed in the Grimson division basement, Baba Booey sits just one game back. After fumbling the early week lead the Flyers and their slippery fingers were reduced to a 1-1 squad, the Probert division outfit seated one game behind the Probert-best Cherry Pickers.
Polar Bears: 54.5
Misconducts: 39.6
The Polar Bears had absolutely no trouble with the Misconducts, the heavily-armed Bears defeating the pea-shooting Misconducts by 14.9 points. The comprehensive performance gifts the Bears their first win of the season, GM Elya and his 1-1 squad seated in second place in the Grimson division, one game behind the Lumberjacks. In Week 3 the Misconducts will continue their so-far fruitless search for a win, GM Smalley stuck in the Domi division basement with a mark of 0-2.
Wild Ducks: 49.7
Bluliners: 43.9
The Wild Ducks found the win column for the first time this season, the team improving to 1-1 by dusting the Bluliners. In 5th place overall, the Ducks are lodged in second place in the Grimson; tied with three others - all one game behind the flawless Jacks. The Bluliners lost for the first time this season, GM Hamilton and his 1-1 squad - in 7th place overall - seated in 2nd place in the Probert, tied with the Boulder Flyers; both teams one game back.
