WEEK 17 (FINAL)

Alec DeBrincat potted his 30th and 31st goals on Sunday, the diminutive sniper adding 4.0 points to the Ice Hogs YTD total; the 1st place Hogs entering the season’s final week with an overall lead of 9.2 points.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
Of the five FHL Cup challengers, the Ice Hogs were the only team to record a point on a light two-game Sunday, the Wild Ducks, Cherry Pickers, Lumberjacks and Rocky Rocks all held in check. As such, the Hogs lead was increased by 4.0 points across the board, Hog boss GM Henry taking a very deep breath ahead of the final (10-day) week of the 2020-21 season.

The Bout for the Money
The contenders were kept off the board but the long shots managed to find the scoresheet, the Misconducts and their 2.0 point effort drawing to within 30.0 points of $120.00. The SC Cobras netted 1.0 point, GM Murphy’s squad now seated 30.4 points in back of 3rd place.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
Goaltender Kevin Lankinen posted a 37 save win as the Polar Bears moved another 3.7 points closer to sunlight, the Bears now trailing the 11th place Boulder Flyers by only 17.0 points. Baba Booey reduced their odds of winning the Laughing Bag, a 2.9 point Sunday placing the first-year franchise 28.0 points in front of last place.



With their week-best 76.4 points, the Ice Hogs were gifted the final $10.00 bonus. The Cherry Pickers were awarded an additional $10.00 for recording the very best week of the season, the team scoring 93.6 points in Week 10.
