The playoff hopes of Rocky Rocks were laid to rest on Sunday evening - the surging Central Red Army pulling the plug on the first year franchise; the Rocks and their 4-12 mark now officially down for the count.Central Red Army: 56.2
Rocky Rocks: 32.6Rocky Rocks couldn’t buy a break all year - and there were no breaks for sale again in Week 16 - the no-luck Rocks - despite being competitive all season long - losing for the 12th time in 16 matches. The Central Red Army kept their postseason hopes alive with their clutch Week 16 performance, the Army, 6-10, currently sitting two games outside of the playoffs.
Misconducts: 41.1
Badger Bob: 34.4Unlike Rocky Rocks, the Misconducts are living a charmed H2H life. Seated below the Rocks in the overall standings, the Misconducts improved to 11-5 on the season, GM Smalley’s 9th place overall squad, remarkably, still in the mix for the best overall record and a first round playoff bye. The hot-and-cold Bobs were cold again in Week 16, GM Chester’s bipolar squad falling to 10-6 on the year; a record that leaves Badger Bob on top of the Grimson, though now sharing space with the Wild Ducks.
Ice Hogs: 53.8
SC Cobras: 50.3
The SC Cobras had the Ice Hogs in their Sunday sight but they failed to pull the trigger, the league-best Hogs improving to 12-4 with the nail-biting win; GM Henry's red-hot team remaining one game in front of the Misconducts in the chase for a first round playoff bye. The SC Cobras slipped to 7-9 on the year, the Cobras currently seated outside of the postseason picture, trailing the seventh and final playoff spot by a single game.
Wild Ducks: 68.3
Boulder Flyers: 40.8
By thrashing the Boulder Flyers, the Wild Ducks returned to the top of the Grimson divsion, GM Collard’s squad improving to 10-6; two games behind the Ice Hogs in the chase for a first round playoff bye. The Flyers slumped to 8-8 on the year, a record that is still playoff worthy, GM Morgan currently in possession of the seventh and final playoff ticket.
Bluliners: 73.7
Vegas Vipers: 28.4
By posting the best score of Week 16, the Bluliners were presented with their ninth H2H win, GM Hamilton and his team well inside the playoff picture with a record of 9-7; three games in back of the Probert-leading Ice Hogs. In defeat, the playoff hopes of the Vegas Vipers took another hit, the Vipers, now 7-9, tumbling out of the postseason conversation.
Cherry Pickers: 51.7
Polar Bears: 26.0
If the playoffs started today, all four Probert division teams would qualify. One of those teams is the Cherry Pickers, the first year franchise now 9-7 after dispatching the Polar Bears. In defeat, the Bears remain stuck with the worst record in the league, GM Elya’s struggling franchise now 3-13 with six weeks, mercifully, remaining in the H2H regular season.
