| Monday was a good day to be Roman Josi. Monday was also a good day to have Roman Josi on your team, the Wild Ducks rearguard collecting two goals, an assist and 12.0 points, the surging second place Ducks drawing to within 12.8 points of the first place Bobs.Rocky Rocks: 4.9 Wild Ducks: 12.0With arguably the worst luck of all 12 FHL teams, Rocky Rocks, 3-8, is hoping for better as the H2H season heads into its second half. One day in, nothing seems to have changed, the can’t-afford-to-lose Rocks paired with the Wild Ducks, 6-5 - a formidable opponent that just so happened to score the most points on Day 1. Not sure what GM Rocky did to piss-off the Hockey Gods, but they’re not happy about something. Central Red Army: 2.0 Boulder Flyers: 7.0 Both teams bring a 5-6 record to this non-divisional match - the Central Red Army seated in a better position as they trail the Domi division leader by a single game. The Boulder Flyers meanwhile are starting to feel the heat, the team currently lodged in last place in the Probert division, two games back. Ice Hogs: 4.0 Bluliners: 6.0 A pivotal, all-important, Probert division clash featuring the Probert-best Ice Hogs, 7-4, and the Bluliners, 6-5. If the Bluliners win they’ll claim a share of the Probert division lead. If they lose they’ll fall two games back. Don’t put the kids to bed just yet, this should be a good one. Badger Bob: 2.6 Polar Bears: 3.0 Of all the Week 12 matches, none has more on the line than this Grimson division pairing. The Polar Bears, 3-8, trail Badger Bob, 8-3, by five huge games. Should the Bears topple the best team in the league, they’ll draw to within a manageable four games. A loss will stick the Bears in a six game hole - the plug possibly pulled on their postseason. Cherry Pickers: 6.0 Misconducts: 2.3Losers of two straight, the Misconducts, 6-5, are in dire need of a win, the teetering team now sharing the Domi division lead with the SC Cobras. The Cherry Pickers, 6-5, are on a roll, and could move to the top of the Probert by taking down the Misconducts. With the winner of each division granted an automatic berth in the playoffs, the match is important to both. SC Cobras: 3.0 Vegas Vipers: 12.0 The SC Cobras, 6-5, are hoping to fortify their spot on top of the Domi division. To do that they’ll have to dismiss the Vegas Vipers, a struggling team (not counting yesterday) with a subpar record of 5-6. Housed in the same division as Badger Bob, the Vipers are skating in must-win territory if they harbor any hope of claiming the Grimson division crown. LINK: Standings |
