Already dizzy from the blow landed by Pekka Rinne, the Polar Bears were leveled by a sweeping haymaker thrown by defenseman Jared Spurgeon (1g, 2a, 9.0 pts), the SC Cobras well on their way to an important win, the sizzling snakes leading the prone Bears by 23.5.

Projected to be a high scoring affair, the highly-anticipated clash between the Wild Ducks and the Central Red Army has turned into a ho-hum pitching duel, the lowest-score-of-the-week Army trailing the second-worst-score-of-the-week Ducks by 2.5.

Desperately in need of a win, Rocky Rocks is playing like a team desperately in need of a win - the Rocks again answering the bell on Friday, a 9.0 point outing adding another 3.0 points to their lead, the Rocks now 15.0 points better than the heavily-favored Bobs.
