| With a broken Steven Stamkos no longer part of the equation, the Bluliner faithful are growing concerned, their shorthanded team now trailing the first place Polar Bears by 22.6 points. The Battle for the FHL CupGM Hamilton's team was easy pickins on Monday as no Bluliner took to the ice. That considered, the damage could have been much worse, the Polar Bears padding their lead by only 3.0 points. New-acquires Brock Nelson (1g) and Frans Nielsen (1a) inflicted the damage. The typically steady Ben Bishop proved useless, yanked after allowing 5 goals on 23 shots. The Battle for 2nd Place (Overall)The Misconducts collected 2.0 points on Monday, scooting to within 27.3 points of the 2nd place Bluliners. While GM Smalley has hopes of reeling-in the Bluliners and the $250.00 prize, one eye is focused on the SC Cobras, a team that could soon invade the Misconducts space. The Battle for 3rd Place (Overall)With six days remaining in the season the SC Cobras are getting a whiff of season-ending money, a 5.0 point evening drawing GM Murphy's team to within 17.7 points of the 3rd place Misconducts. The Battle for 2nd Place (H2H)A 5.2 point outing lifted Badger Bob to within 10.5 points of the Polar Bears, a team they must defeat to win all of the $30.00 second place H2H prize money. Two of the three teams contending for a share of the money are winning, Between the Pipes currently better than the Cobras; the Misconducts slightly better than the Bluliners.
