The spirited play of Mitch Marner could land the Misconducts in the H2H Championship match, the Auston Matthews sidekick netting two goals, two assists and 10.0 of his team’s eye-popping 31.0 points; the marauding Misconducts increasing their semifinal round lead to 19.9 points.

Semifinals, Playoffs

Lumberjacks: 20.1­
FHL policy forbids the summoning on the Fat Lady during the playoffs. Doing so, history has proven, wreaks havoc with the television ratings; essentially stripping advertising money from the pockets of FHL honchos. That being the case, the league is hoping (some praying) that the red-hot Misconducts cool over the final five days of the week.

SC Cobras: 9.9
Cherry Pickers: 10.0­
The Cherry Pickers aren’t playing well but they’re playing better than their semifinal opponent, a disappointing 6.0 point performance actually providing GM Recoskie with a 0.1 point lead; the SC Cobras held to a league-low 2.9 points on Day 2 of the 7-day showdown.



Called into action on Monday, goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic responded with a career-best 47 save win and a rare 3.0 point assist - the 10-time champion Wild Ducks fast-waddling to within 1.0 point of the 1st place Boulder Flyers.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
Even though they posted a respectable 12.8 points, the Bluliners lost ground to the league leader; the Boulder Flyers using an Elvis Merzlikins 47 save win to repel their longtime rival; the 3rd place Bluliners now trailing by 17.4. Baba Booey also took a step in the wrong direction, a 7.0 point showing placing the Booeys 37.7 points behind what would be their first FHL Cup championship.

The Bout for the Money
The Central Red Army received yet another huge game from Roman Josi (1g, 2a), the Army and their 19.0 point effort marching to within 78.1 points of a season-ending payday. In 5th place, the Cherry Pickers continue to fade, the team now camped 39.4 points outside of the green. The Ice Hogs received 13.0 of 20.7 points from Jonathan Huberdeau (2g, 3a), but the 9th place Hogs, despite Huberdeau's heroics, remain a money outsider.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
Every time the league tries to pull a sheet over the head of Rocky Rocks, the basemented franchise wiggle their toes - the Rocks ripping 14.1 points to draw to within 46.8 points of the Tuesday-quiet SC Cobras.
