With all of his big guns reloading in preparation for Week 24, GM Collard will be practically defenseless (and offenseless) on Day 7, the Wild Ducks bringing only two fowards and (possibly) two goalies to the Sunday Showdown. Meanwhile, GM Smalley is licking his lips, his giant-killing team on the verge of a monumental upset win.

The Boulder Flyers were good on Saturday as they outscored the SC Cobras, 15.4 points to 10.0. The surge however is likely “too little too late,” the hissing Cobras on the brink of toppling the league’s best team, their advantage still substantial at 12.9 points

Is it possible that all three favorites will be eliminated in the opening round of the playoffs!? It sure as hell looks that way as the Lumberjacks bounded in front of Baba Booey on Saturday, the Jacks and their 20.3 point Day 6 bringing an 8.8 point lead to the final day of Round One.

The Polar Bears might not be a serious contender for Top-3 money but they may have placed a lock on the Best Week Bonus, defenseman Morgan Rielly (1g, 2a) ripping 9.0 of his team’s 20.7 points; the money-hungry Bears just one day removed from what would be their first $10.00 bonus of the season.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
The Boulder Flyers were half-expecting to be evicted from the FHL Penthouse on Saturday - but when the ice spray settled, the league’s best team was still the league’s best team; the Flyers increasing their overall advantage to 8.0 points. Like the Wild Ducks, the Bluliners also took a step back on Saturday; the 3rd place squad now 15.8 points behind. The 4th place Booeys, like the Ducks and Bluliners, also lost ground; Baba Booey - in pursuit of their first FHL Cup championship - currently seated 37.8 rows behind the Boulder Flyers.

The Bout for the Money
Most of the movement occurred in the mid to lower half of the standings; the 9th place Ice Hogs (21.0), 6th place Polar Bears (20.7) and 10th place Lumberjacks (20.3) posting the best Saturday numbers - all three teams still another huge day (or two) removed from entering the Top-3 conversation.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
The SC Cobras returned to 11th place on Saturday but the team is not at all concerned about their Laughing Bag chances; the engaged Cobras still 50.1 points clear of the moss-covered Rocks.
