WEEK 22 (thru Thursday)

David Pastrnak's natural hat trick placed two thoughts in GM Collard’s head: “H2H playoffs” and “FHL Cup,” the shoot-first sniper netting 9.0 of his team’s league-best 22.0 points, the 2nd place Wild Ducks - now in full control of their must-win H2H match - moving to within 17.3 points of 1st place overall.

SC Cobras: 20.2
Wild Ducks: 34.9
If the Wild Ducks win they will claim the final spot in the H2H playoffs - essentially eliminating both the Bluliners and Polar Bears from postseason play. As such, Thursday was not a good evening for GM’s Hamilton and Elya, the streaking-again Ducks currently leading the docile SC Cobras by 14.7.

Boulder Flyers: 24.1
Lumberjacks: 36.0­
A win will gift the Boulder Flyers a 1st round playoff bye. A piece of cake thought most as the Flyers are playing one of the worst (overall) teams in the league. Four days in, that sure as hell isn’t the case - the Lumberjacks ripping another 17.0 points on Thursday, the playoff-hopeful Jacks now leading the frayed Flyers by 11.9.

Cherry Pickers: 43.0
Baba Booey: 27.0
Baba Booey continues to slide south in the overall standings, the former Top of the Pops now seated in 5th place overall. The Cherry Pickers meanwhile are having no trouble locating points, a strong 12.0 point showing providing GM Recoskie with a 16.0 point lead.

Bluliners: 44.5
Polar Bears: 30.0­
If the Wild Ducks win the Bluliners won’t be skating in the postseason. True that but GM Hamilton is still brandishing a cheek-to-cheek smile, his blue-hot Bluliners currently the best team of Week 22 - the bounding B’s and their 19.0 point performance drawing to within 36.5 points of 1st place overall. The Polar Bears (10.0) couldn’t match their opponent’s effort, the teetering team now trailing by 14.5.

Central Red Army: 30.7
Misconducts: 20.9
The Misconducts have claimed a playoff spot but it appears they’ll be entering the postseason on a down note, the sagging squad currently trailing the Central Red Army by 9.8 points; both teams hoping for more in the Points Department as they prep for a five-game Friday.

Rocky Rocks: 23.8
Ice Hogs: 21.5
Playing a team without a head is proving difficult for GM Henry, his Ice Hogs - after netting just 4.0 points - now trailing Rocky Rocks by 2.3. Based on the soft groan coming from Section C of the Pig Pen, Louise and Larry the janitor were not impressed (either that or Louise and Larry are hooking up).
