WEEK 9 (thru Thursday) TbGmlE7
Seemingly out of nowhere the Polar Bears bum-rushed 1st place overall, the Bears bounding from 4th to 1st on the strength of a 30.0 point Thursday, team captain Steven Stamkos leading the surprise attack with one goal, three assists and 8.0 points.

Polar Bears: 52.2
SC Cobras: 23.4

The SC Cobras were thinking they had a chance after outscoring the Polar Bears on Wednesday. When the ice spray settled on Thursday, GM Murphy found himself buried in a surprisingly deep hole, the runaway Bears now leading this non-divisional mismatch by 26.8 points.

Baba Booey: 28.0
Ice Hogs: 15.0

Despite being disoriented from the Bears attack, Baba Booey was able to secure 8.2 points, the now-second best team in the league still comfortably in front of their opponent. The worst score of the week still belongs to the Ice Hogs as a 5.0 point Day 4 did nothing to improve their situation, the slow-roasting Hogs now trailing the Booeys by 13.0.

Lumberjacks: 25.0
Rocky Rocks: 34.8

After play on Wednesday Rocky Rocks owned the best score of the week. From the files of “Oh What a Difference a Day Makes,” the Rocks now find themselves in the basement yet again, a 0.0 point Thursday leaving the team 2.1 points in rear of the 11th place Hogs. All is not bleak however as  the Lumberjacks continue to misfire, the Rocks H2H lead still relatively safe at 9.8.

Bluliners: 21.6
Misconducts: 26.3

There wasn’t much movement in this middleweight fight as Round 5 of the scheduled seven-round bout was more-or-less a draw, the Misconducts (7.5 points) now leading the Bluliners (7.0 points) by 4.7.

Wild Ducks: 33.9
Central Red Army: 34.3

The Central Red Army continue to fend-off the advances of the Wild Ducks - a 7.6 point outing just enough to combat the Ducks and their 8.3 points; GM Buker still confident of pulling off the upset as his underdog team gears-up for an atypically packed seven-game Friday.

Cherry Pickers: 27.1
Boulder Flyers: 38.0

The Cherry Pickers were one of the better Thursday teams as they harvested 12.3 points. The Boulder Flyers couldn’t keep pace as they mustered just 5.3 - the 5th place Pickers drawing to within 10.9 points of the 4th place Flyers with now, only three days remaining in the week.
