WEEK 5 (thru Monday) Empty

WEEK 5 (thru Monday) U8MXB1O
When the ice spray settled, Baba Booey was on top of the “thru Monday” scoring, fifth-round draft selection Semyon Varlamov providing the bulk of his team’s points with a 30 save, 6.0 point shutout — Varlamov's NHL-best third shutout of the season.

Baba Booey: 9.0
Lumberjacks: 6.1

A huge, possible season-defining pairing of 1-3 teams. The math tells you everything. The loser of this match will fall to 1-4; their playoff hopes a long shot at best. The winner will travel to Week 6 with a record of 2-3; their postseason hopes very much alive. Nothing else needs to be said (which is good cause I can’t think of anything).

Cherry Pickers: 7.0
Bluliners: 3.0

The marquee match of the week features the only undefeated teams in the league - the impeccable Bluliners, 4-0, traveling to Ontario to battle the unconquered Cherry Pickers, also 4-0. The winner will sit, alone, atop the Canuck division. Don’t even think about buying a ticket for this match as none are available (not sold out - just no one is allowed inside the Pickers Palace arena).

Polar Bears: 4.2
Wild Ducks: 1.0

With a record of 1-3, the Polar Bears are seated at the bottom of the Yankee division. The Wild Ducks, 3-1, are perched atop the Yankee. Despite the housing situation, the Bears have been playing better than the Ducks - outscoring their division rival by 16.4 points in Week 5. On paper this looks like a mismatch. In reality, she’s too close to call.

Rocky Rocks: 5.0
Boulder Flyers: 1.6

Last week the Boulder Flyers encountered a “must-win” situation. Now, after falling to 0-4, the Flyers are facing a “must-must-no-really-must-win” situation, the team in danger of falling completely off the FHL map (if they haven’t already). Rocky Rocks brings a 2-2 record and a wealth of confidence to this Canuck division clash, GM Rocky hoping to consolidate last week’s crucial H2H victory.

Misconducts: 3.0
SC Cobras: 3.4

The SC Cobras are a sub-500 team, their record 1-3. The Misconducts record is 2-2. The Misconducts trail the Yankee division leader by just one game. The Cobras are two games back. To stay in the chase for the Yankee division crown, the Misconducts need a win. The SC Cobras need it more.

Ice Hogs: 6.0
Central Red Army: 0.0

The struggling Ice Hogs, 2-2, travel to New Jersey to take on the also-struggling Central Red Army, 3-1. Through the first three weeks of the season, the Army were unbeatable. Last week they posted the second lowest score - netting just 29.3 points. No one knows which Central Red Army team will show in Week 5, though the Hogs boss is hoping for the latter.
