WEEK 4 (thru Wednesday) XwWxHv6
The mid-second round acquisition of (then-injured) David Pastrnak could prove to be one of the shrewdest picks of the draft, GM Carling acquiring the first-round talent with the 35th overall pick. It would be foolish to think otherwise given that Pastrnak - in his first two games in a Baba Booey jersey - has netted five goals and one assist; including three goals, one assist and 12.0 points on Wednesday.

Baba Booey: 33.5
Rocky Rocks: 24.3

When David Pastrnak scored a beauty just 12 seconds into the game, GM Carling had a good feeling about Wednesday. However, despite Pastrnak’s heroics, Baba Booey was unable to separate themselves from their opponent - Rocky Rocks’ Patrice Bergeron riding the coattails of his linemate to an 8.0 point game (1g, 3a) - the Rocks still in the hunt for their second H2H win, trailing the bubbling Booey’s by 9.2.

Cherry Pickers: 21.2
Lumberjacks: 5.0

While David Pastrnak was stealing the headlines, the Cherry Pickers quietly skated into first place overall - defenseman Victor Hedman (1g, 1a) leading the charge with his third(!) 6.0 point game. All however is not peachy for the cherries - the team playing without star-starter Nathan Mackinnon who is sidelined for weeks - a chink in the Pickers armor that could provide the Lumberjacks with an "in" - an in leading to a much-needed come-from-behind win.

SC Cobras: 19.5
Polar Bears: 33.9

The SC Cobras are still thinking “victory” after they outpointed the Polar Bears 6.0 to 1.0 on Wednesday, the undrafted James van Riemsdyk collecting his 15th NHL point (5g, 10a). As such, the Cobras remain hopeful that they can reel-in their opponent, the snakes trailing the Bears by 14.4 points ahead of a postponement-light eight-game Thursday.

Ice Hogs: 11.1
Misconducts: 33.7

By backstopping his sixth victory of the season, Alexei Vasilevsky provided the Ice Hogs with 1.5 points -- and that was it as a quiet two-game Wednesday did little to alter this match, the Hogs still trailing the Misconducts by a shit-ton with four days remaining in the week.

Central Red Army: 12.0
Wild Ducks: 17.0

Anthony Mantha gifted the Wild Ducks a 2.0 point goal. The Central Red Army received 2.0 points from Kevin Hayes (1g) and 1.0 point from Charlie McAvoy (1a). Not needing to remove my socks to do this math, the Army are now stationed 5.0 points behind the Ducks.

Bluliners: 9.7
Boulder Flyers: 17.0

The last place Boulder Flyers had three players skating on Wednesday - all of them fired blanks. The 11th place Bluliners also didn’t register a point as no one was dressed. All told, the Flyers still lead this powder-puff pairing by 7.3.
