WEEK 21 (thru Saturday) Empty
PostSubject: WEEK 21 (thru Saturday)   WEEK 21 (thru Saturday) EmptySun Mar 01, 2020 1:25 pm

WEEK 21 (thru Saturday) Fuayewb
His must-win Cherry Pickers team trailing by 3.5 points prior to the final game contested on Saturday evening, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (1g, 2a) uncorked 5.0 points - keeping the league-best Wild Ducks at bay - GM Recoskie’s tenacious team leading the Ducks by 1.5 points ahead of an end-of-the-week, edge-of-your-seat, six-game Sunday.

Wild Ducks: 38.2
Cherry Pickers: 39.7

With Alexander Ovechkin still loaded in GM Collard’s Week 21 chamber, the Wild Ducks have a good chance of overcoming their miniscule deficit. The Cherry Pickers however will be bringing more guns to the final-day fracas, the first-year franchise hoping their Crazy 8 will be able to fend-off the always-dangerous Ducks.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Wild Ducks: 6 players; Cherry Pickers: 8 players)
Wild Ducks: Alexander Ovechkin, Johnny Gaudreau, Kyle Palmieri, William Karlsson, Drew Doughty, Mackenzie Blackwood*
Cherry Pickers: Elias Pettersson, Sean Couturier, Anze Kopitar, Ilya Kovalchuk, Artemi Panarin, Jared Spurgeon, Ivan Provorov, Carter Hart
*Start not confirmed at press time

Central Red Army: 50.6
Vegas Vipers: 26.6

Leon Draisaitl erased any hope the Vegas Vipers had of catching the Central Red Army, the 5th overall draft pick netting two goals and an assist - his league-best 102nd point of the season - the flexing Army in full control of this match as they lead the vaporizing Vipers by 24.0 points.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Central Red Army: 4 players; Vegas Vipers: 4 players)
Central Red Army: J.T. Miller, Matthew Tkachuk, Reilly Smith, Quinn Hughes
Vegas Vipers: Aleksander Barkov, Jonathan Huberdeau, Noel Acciari, Thatcher Demko*
*Start not confirmed at press time

SC Cobras: 53.2
Badger Bob: 40.0

A balanced scoring attack resulted in Badger Bob posting the best Saturday score, the Bobs and their 18.0 point performance drawing to within 13.2 points of the SC Cobras. For GM Chester, that’s the good news. The bad news: the Cobras will be bringing no fewer than nine players to the rink on Sunday; the Bobs countering with Elias Lindholm, period.
LAST DAY LINEUP (SC Cobras: 9 players; Badger Bob: 1 player)
SC Cobras: Jonathan Marchessault, Mika Zibanejad, Mike Hoffman, Max Pacioretty, Travis Konecny, Alec Martinez, Keith Yandle, Damon Severson, Marc-Andre Fleury
Badger Bob: Elias Lindholm

Rocky Rocks: 32.2
Bluliners: 23.2

What everyone thought could never happen, is happening. With just one day remaining in the week, the playoff-bubble Bluliners are on the verge of losing to Rocky Rocks - an unmanned franchise chock-full of injured players. In the Bluliners defense, they are also playing shorthanded (Stamkos and Elvis were shelved during the week). Regardless, if Mark Pysyk fails to play the game of his life on Sunday, this match result will go down as one of the biggest shockers of the 2019-20 season.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Rocky Rocks: 4 players; Bluliners: 1 player)
Rocky Rocks: T.J. Oshie, Sean Monahan, Shea Theodore, Sergei Bobrovsky*
Bluliners: Mark Pysyk
*Start not confirmed at press time

Boulder Flyers: 36.8
Misconducts: 17.9

The Boulder Flyers loaded Saturday with 10 players. At the end of the day, the Flyers scored only 2.0 points. With GM Morgan unwittingly leaving the door wide open, the Misconducts failed to capitalize; the struggling and week-worst franchise posting just 6.9 points. As such, the Flyers should survive their personal Saturday Night Massacre, the needa-win team still leading the wheels-spinning Misconducts by 18.9 points.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Boulder Flyers: 2 players; Misconducts: 6 players)
Boulder Flyers: Claude Giroux, Zach Werenski
Misconducts: Evgenii Dadonov, Paul Stastny, Jakub Vrana, Matt Niskanen, John Carlson, Nate Schmidt

Ice Hogs: 36.8
Polar Bears: 32.0

The Polar Bears were better than their opponent on Saturday, outpointing the Ice Hogs 15.0 to 9.8. The positive news ends there however as the Bears will be dressing no one on Sunday. In the 27-year history of the league, no team has ever scored a point when they had no one playing. As such, the Ice Hogs slim 3.2 point lead has been deemed “absolutely safe,” the best H2H team in the league just hours removed from being awarded the highly-coveted first round playoff bye.
LAST DAY LINEUP (Ice Hogs: 5 players; Polar Bears: 0 players)
Ice Hogs: Ryan Strome, Nicklas Backstrom, Tony DeAngelo, Aaron Ekblad, Braden Holtby
Polar Bears: None
