WEEK 9 (thru Monday) SuDR5aN
Desperately in need of a win to keep their playoff hopes alive - and facing the monumental task of taking down the very best team in the league - Rocky Rocks could not have asked for a better start, John Gibson (26 save shutout) collecting 5.2 of his team’s Monday-best 20.2 points, the Rocks rocking Badger Bob on opening day.

Badger Bob: 0.0
Rocky Rocks: 20.2

Worst meets first in this all-important Week 9 confrontation, Rocky Rocks in absolutely no position to lose as they begin play with a league-worst record of 2-6. Despite having a near-pristine record of 7-1, Badger Bob has their hands full with Rocky Rocks. The Rocks, despite their dismal H2H record, are playing exceptionally well, the team moving into 4th place overall on the strength of their monster Monday.

Ice Hogs: 12.8
Vegas Vipers: 20.0

The Ice Hogs have some breathing room after taking charge of the Probert division, GM Henry’s pigs comfortably traveling a path that leads to the H2H postseason. The Vegas Vipers aren’t sitting quite as pretty. Though the Vipers no longer possess the league’s worst record, the team really can’t afford to lose as they begin play with a mark of 3-5; the sub-.500 pace sure to drop the Vipers short of the seven-team FHL playoffs.

Boulder Flyers: 2.0
Cherry Pickers: 8.6

A pivotal Probert division clash featuring the 3-5 Cherry Pickers and the 4-4 Boulder Flyers. Currently seated at the bottom of their division, more pressure is on the Pickers to prevail as a loss could sink the squad a full three games behind their leader. While the pressure is slightly less, the Flyers are still feeling the heat, the birds in need of a “W” to have any shot of reclaiming a share of the Probert division lead.

Central Red Army: 1.0
Wild Ducks: 1.0

The struggling Wild Ducks travel to New Jersey to lock horns with the Central Red Army. Though sporting a solid record of 5-3, the Ducks find themselves two large games behind the Grimson-leading Bobs. The Ducks need a win to keep the Bobs in their sight. The Army bring a 4-4 record to this non-divisional battle, GM Buker and his troops currently stationed one game behind the division leader; a win possibly propelling the Army to the top of the Domi.

Misconducts: 7.9
Bluliners: 9.0

The Misconducts currently sit atop the Domi with a record of 5-3; the pressure to perform needle currently pointed at “low.” While the team doesn’t need to win, a loss could result in the Misconducts having to share the Domi penthouse suite with another team. The Bluliners begin play with a mark of 4-4, one game back of the Probert-leading Ice Hogs. A win could place the Bluliners on top of the Probert, a loss could send them to the cellar.

Polar Bears: 11.6
SC Cobras: 5.0

Both the Polar Bears and SC Cobras bring identical 3-5 records to this Week 9 clash. At a glance the match doesn’t seem hugely important, but it is. The winning team would depart the week with a near-.500 record of 4-5; a record that would draw the team into the postseason conversation. A loss could strap the team with the worst record in the league - and nothing about a 3-6 start screams “playoff bound.”
