WEEK 4 (FINAL) OtCfNy7
Not happy about being called a “three ring circus” in yesterday’s news, Boston heavyweights Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak took to the ice to silence their critics - and silence their critics they did (with an exclamation mark), the trio combining for a jaw-dropping 32.0 points (Marchand, 2g, 3a; Pastrnak 5a, Bergeron 3g) - Badger Bob erasing a 28.6 point deficit in racing past the bewildered Wild Ducks, the Bobs, remarkably, now seated in 1st place overall.

Badger Bob: 68.4
Central Red Army: 49.0

Leading by 10.5 points heading into the final day of the week, the Central Red Army thought they had a win tucked securely in their back pocket. Instead, the Sunday-slaughtered team was rudely handed another loss, the sullen Army now officially average at 2-2. The bounding Bobs remain perfect with the stunning comeback, the best of New Jersey perched on top of the Domi division with a record of 4-0.

Wild Ducks: 59.4
Ice Hogs: 38.9

Though the overall race left the team battered, bruised and a tad dumbfounded, the Wild Ducks can still boast of an unblemished H2H record, the comprehensive victory providing GM Collard with a mark of 4-0 and a share of the Grimson division lead. The Ice Hogs meanwhile sank to the bottom of the Probert barrel, GM Henry’s sagging squad now holding a dismal “thru Week 4” record of 1-3.

Misconducts: 43.1
Vegas Vipers: 40.0

Once again it was “close but no cigar” for the Vegas Vipers, the difficult-to-swallow 3.1 point loss leaving the last place team with a league-worst record of 0-4; the vaporizing Vipers now four games behind the Grimson division leaders. The Misconducts remain perfect with the hard-fought victory, GM Smalley’s squad sitting pretty on top of the Domi with an impeccable record of 4-0.

Boulder Flyers: 43.8
SC Cobras: 43.2

Seemingly down for the count, the Boulder Flyers rallied on the final day of the week, a 13.0 point Sunday providing the team with an improbable come-from-behind win. With the gift, the Flyers improved to 2-2 on the year, tied for the Probert division lead. The SC Cobras stumbled to 1-3 with the unexpected defeat, GM Murphy’s head-shaking team - despite being in 3rd place overall - dispatched to the Domi division cellar.

Bluliners: 39.4
Cherry Pickers: 29.6

The Bluliners had no trouble with their misfiring opponent, GM Hamilton’s 2-2 squad gravitating to the top of the Probert division with the walk-in-the-park win; tied with the also 2-2 Boulder Flyers. In stark contrast to their Week 3 performance, the Cherry Pickers could do nothing right in Week 4, the week-worst score placing the fickle Pickers at the bottom of the Probert with a mark of 1-3.

Polar Bears: 44.0
Rocky Rocks: 41.1

Both teams played well on the final day of the week, but the Polar Bears were better, the strong Sunday showing providing GM Elya with an all-square record of 2-2; a mark that places the Bears two games behind the best of the stacked Grimson. In defeat, Rocky Rocks saw their record tumble to 1-3, the first year franchise now seated at the bottom of the Domi, three games back.

WEEK 4 (FINAL) Empty
PostSubject: Badger Bob announces newest fan   WEEK 4 (FINAL) EmptyMon Oct 28, 2019 7:12 pm

The early season performance of Badger Bob has caught the attention of a VIP fan in the Pittsburgh metro area.

Ty Avolia was two years old when he was caught celebrating a Pittsburgh goal by the camera of Pens TV at a game and became the "Buckle Up Baby" to match the call for action -- Buckle Up, Baby!!! -- from Pens' radio color commentator Phil "Old Two-niner" Bourque.

Ty is seven now. So he understands the NHL and fantasy hockey very well.

Have explained to him that I've been a Penguins fan since 1973-74. Have explained to him the ultra-importance of "Badger" Bob Johnson to the Penguins franchise as head coach and the run to the first Stanley Cup in 1990-91.

Have also explained to him that there may not be a Penguin on B2 after the bidding process Monday night. Ty said he's OK with dropping Sam Lafferty if doing so improves the team.

Didn't need to explain to Ty "Badger" Bob's favorite saying -- "It's a Great Day for Hockey."

The message to B2 from Ty: "Let's Go Pens!!! in the NHL and Let's Go Badger Bob in the FHL!!!"
