After winning the H2H consolation match last year, the Central Red Army wanted to land on higher ground in 2018. Land on higher ground they did, GM Buker now $100.00 richer after harnessing the H2H title. Despite losing, GM Chester still managed a smile, his Badger Bob team awarded $70.00 for their runner-up effort.

It was a good week to be the Bluliners as they posted the league's second best score, GM Hamilton's squad collecting $30.00 for their 29.8 point thrashing of the Wild Ducks. As the loser of the consolation match, GM Collard received the advertised prize, a firm (and somewhat heartfelt) pat on the back.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
Badger Bob will carry a 10.0 point lead into the final week of the season - and they might need all 10.0 as injuries are suddenly a concern for the Bobs, goaltender John Gibson departing the game early on Sunday while Viktor Arvidsson didn't even take to the ice. In addition, Phil Kessel's health was recently diagnosed as "wonky." The Bluliners meanwhile are healthy, the four-time champion confident they can catch and pass Badger Bob before the season ends on Sunday.

The Bout for the Money
The Central Red Army are starting to get comfortable in 3rd place, the team stationed in the money since their record-setting outburst on March 22nd. The Boulder Flyers are the team closest to 3rd place and it's $175.00 payday, the birds trailing the Army by 10.9. The Ice Cats have entered the money picture - passing the Wild Ducks on Sunday - GM Cutshall's squad with an outside shot, trailing the money by 30.2.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
The moss growing on the SC Cobras is starting to recede after a second day in the sun, GM Murphy entering the final week with a 2.4 point lead over the last place Polar Bears. In 10th place, the Vegas Vipers are still nervous, GM Miller's squad just 7.6 steps from the rim of the cellar.
