WEEK 24 (thru Friday)

With only one game played, the FHL was eerily quiet on Friday. It won't be quiet on Saturday as all 30 NHL teams take to the ice, the Polar Bears hoping to escape the penultimate day with their lead intact.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
Even though the Polar Bears lead by a relatively healthy 16.1 points, GM Elya has reason to be concerned, the Bluliners coming to the Saturday table with point-hoarders Letang, Giordano and Byfuglien stuffed up their sleeve. GM Elya will counter with the likes of Kane, Karlsson and Weber, that is, if all the players actually play. With the playoffs looming, many teams will be resting their stars. Who rests and who actually plays - as it has done in past seasons - could decide who hoists the FHL Cup when the season ends on Sunday.

The Battle for 2nd Place (Overall)
While the Bluliners hope to finish the season with the FHL Cup and it's $452.00 prize, GM Hamilton can take comfort in the fact he has a lock on 2nd place; a position that yields no trophy but does come with a pat on the back and a check for $250.00.

The Battle for 3rd Place (Overall)
The lone Friday game did nothing to change this situation, the 3rd place Misconducts still leading GM Murphy's hopeful SC Cobras by 21.7 points.

The Battle for 2nd Place (H2H)
If Badger Bob loses - and the week remains on it's current course - the $30.00 award for finishing 2nd (H2H) will be divided among three teams; $10.00 each to Badger Bob, Between the Pipes (leading the Cobras by 11.3) and the Bluliners (leading the Misconducts by 11.7).
