WEEK 23 (FINAL) RrVEkPK
The 2015-16 FHL season is approaching the runway, preparing to land. With the FHL Cup champion still to be decided - and prize money still to be allocated - the captain is suggesting you fasten your seatbelt as the landing could be a bit on the crazy side.

Central Red Army: 48.5
Polar Bears: 45.9

After being bullied by the Bluliners all week, the Polar Bears fought back on Friday, padding slightly their still-slim lead. Long regarded as the best team to have never won a championship, GM Elya still has the inside track to the FHL Cup, his team leading by 7.4 points with nine (possibly harrowing) days remaining in the season. Meanwhile, GM Buker is all smiles, his Central Red Army dispatching the H2H Champion. The upset victory was win No. 8 for the able-bodied Army, a number that has placed $16.00 into GM Buker’s FHL account.

Bluliners: 67.1
Silicon Valley Slashers: 34.4

The Bluliners have out-scored the Polar Bears for three consecutive weeks. If they can outscore them for a 4th, GM Hamilton could be hoisting his 5th FHL Cup when the season ends on Sunday, April 10th. With a record of 13-10, the Bluliners also have a shot at winning a share of 2nd place H2H cash, trailing Badger Bob by just one game. The Silicon Valley Slashers are now 8-15 on the season, the loss dropping them to the bottom of the H2H barrel. The overall standings find GM Murphy’s struggling team in 9th place overall, a money finish no longer a possibility.

Misconducts: 50.2
Wild Ducks: 48.1

The Misconducts Cup-hopes took a hit on Friday, GM Smalley’s team now 37.2 points behind the first place Polar Bears. While winning the Cup is a long shot, the Misconducts have plenty to play for, trailing the 2nd place ($250.00) Bluliners by 29.8 points. Like the Bluliners, the Misconducts also have a shot at H2H money as they also sit just one game behind Badger Bob. The Wild Ducks continue to play well but couldn’t keep pace with the Misconducts, GM Collard’s team now 9-14 for the season. Overall, the Ducks remain lodged in 10th place, 149.2 points behind first place; a too-distant 112.0 points shy of the money.

Badger Bob: 67.3
Ice Cats: 41.2

Badger Bob were the best team of Week 23, upping their match record to 14-9. As the lone occupant of 2nd place in the H2H standings, another victory will gift GM Chester the $30.00 prize. The task won’t be easy however as the Bobs will lock horns with the agitated Polar Bears in Week 24. The Ice Cats lost for the 12th time, the one-time H2H title contender now sporting a sub-par record of 11-12. The overall picture isn’t any brighter for GM Cutshall, his team still cemented in 11th place.

Boulder Flyers: 51.6
SC Cobras: 47.0

After a miserable Week 22, the Boulder Flyers rebounded to capture their 11th win of the season. H2H match winnings is all the money the defending FHL Cup champion will see in 2015-16, GM Morgan’s team in 5th place overall, a thick 68.9 points behind the 3rd place Misconducts. Despite losing, the SC Cobras had a profitable Friday, a 13.2 point outing drawing GM Murphy’s money-hungry team to within 22.9 points of 3rd place and it’s $130.00 prize.

Between the Pipes: 57.3
Ice Hogs: 37.3

Between the Pipes needed a win and they got it, leveling the Ice Hogs by 20.0 points. With a record of 13-10, the Pipes sit one game behind Badger Bob in the chase for 2nd place H2H cash. To acquire a share of the money, GM Miller’s team will require a little help, needing both a Week 24 win and a Badger Bob loss. The Ice Hogs are now 11-12 on the year, the defending H2H champion five games back. The Hogs departed the week in 8th place overall, the two-time champion now 126.9 points behind the front-running Bears.
