PostSubject: WEEK 12 (FINAL)   Sat Jan 09, 2016 4:01 am

For the Polar Bear faithful, Week 12 was a difficult week to watch; a seven day struggle that saw a once comfortable 38.2 point lead reduced to a very uncomfortable 12.3.

Badger Bob: 24.0
Polar Bears: 22.5

Badger Bob posted the second lowest score of the week yet still walked away with a much needed win, defeating the first place Polar Bears by 1.5 points. The victory kept the Bobs in the hunt for the H2H division title, their 8-4 record placing them just one game behind the bad news Bears. Overall, Badger Bob slumped into 7th place overall, now 50.6 points shy of the FHL summit.

Misconducts: 63.7
SC Cobras: 54.8

The Cobras posted the second best score of the week yet were still tagged with a loss. It's not all bad news for the 3rd place Cobras however as they shaved 32.3 points off the Bears once generous lead, their hole now just 27.0 points deep. The Misconducts improved to 7-5 with the impressive win and now trail the Polar Bears by just two games. Overall, the hard-charging Misconducts are banging loudly on the Polar Bears first place door.

Bluliners: 36.2
Silicon Valley Slashers: 34.2

The Bluliners scored enough points to send the Silicon Valley Slashers packing, GM Hamilton's team improving to 5-7 with the tight 2.0 point victory. Overall, the 5th place Bluliners closed to within 43.9 points of first place. The Slashers departed the week in 4th place overall, 27.0 points back; their H2H record a league-worst 4-8.

Wild Ducks: 43.3
Redliners: 36.3

The Redliners ran out of gas as they approached the finish line, falling to the Wild Ducks by 7.0 points. Still in last place overall, the Redliners are now 4-8 on the season. The Wild Ducks improved to 4-8 with the win, five games behind the first place Bears. Overall, the Wild Ducks remain lodged in 11th place, a thick 107.2 points behind the best of the FHL.

Ice Cats: 38.0
Between the Pipes: 31.6

The Ice Cats remain in the H2H title chase, defeating Between the Pipes by 6.4 points. With a record of 8-4, GM Cutshall's squad trail the first place Bears by just one game. Overall, the Cats moved into 6th place, 50.2 rows behind GM Elya's Bears. Between the Pipes were stung by the loss, their H2H record now 7-5. Overall, the Pipes departed the week in 8th place, 52.3 points back.

Ice Hogs: 47.4
Boulder Flyers: 41.2

The Ice Hogs bolted out of the Week 12 gate, and then hung on for dear life. The fast start would prove enough as they defeated the Boulder Flyers by 6.2. The win left the Hogs with a season mark of 6-6. The overall standings find the Hogs in 10th place, 94.5 shy of the Cup-chase leader. The Flyers slumped to 5-7 in defeat, GM Morgan's defending champs moving into 9th place overall; 91.5 points back.

PostSubject: First half in the books: rematch with Between the Pipes   Sat Jan 09, 2016 12:28 pm

Badger Bob feels VERY fortunate to have come out with a win in what must have been a ratings debacle for the good people at Belle Tire in the Belle Tire Match of the Week.

Now comes the rematch with Between the Pipes. We in BBland remember outstanding work from San Jose G Martin Jones the first time around.

Hopefully BB will snap out of scoring lethargy.

Has a decision been reached on name for BTP youngster on the way?

Is Leon, in honor of Edmonton F Leon Draisaitl, still being considered?
