PostSubject: WEEK 2 (thru Tuesday)   Wed Oct 21, 2015 12:03 pm

Badger Bob Jaroslav Halak has returned from the shelf in spectacular fashion - winning his first two games of the season, including a brilliant 37 save shutout (7.4 points) on Tuesday.

SC Cobras: 9.2
Badger Bob: 29.8

The rout is on as Badger Bob have opened up a 20.6 lead over the SC Cobras. John Tavares complemented Halak's game with an empty net goal, his 4th tally of the season. The Bob's collected 11.4 in all; 10.4 more than the bleeding Cobras. The Cobras lack of production has dropped them into the cellar as they currently reside in last place.

It's rare that the FHL news department gets to speak with a league general manager, but a FHL beat writer spotted the Bob's boss as he waited in line at a neighboring Tim Horton's. When asked how he summed up the evening, GM Chester said,"No question performances that earn bonus points do not happen every day. When one occurs, reason for a GM to be happy. Jaroslav Halak was our leader Tuesday night. Glad to have him in the lineup after missing time due to injury. Even though the (NHL) opponent was the struggling Blue Jackets, a shutout is a shutout - feel that how Halak plays will be key this season for islanders in NHL and Badger Bob in FHL."

Polar Bears: 25.0
Between the Pipes: 9.0

The Polar Bears only dug up 7.0 on Tuesday but it was 1.0 more than Between the Pipes, GM Elya's first place team now 16.0 better than the sixth place Pipes. As the league's best team after the opening week, there is cause for concern in Pipeville as their week two numbers have yet to reach double figures.

Ice Hogs: 25.7
Wild Ducks: 16.4

Alas, Sidney Crosby finally found his game, his 4.0 point performance (1g, 2a) helping guide his Ice Hogs team out of the FHL basement and into 10th place. Currently 9.3 behind the Hogs, the Wild Ducks were also lead by the play of Penguins, Evgeni Malkin (1g, 1a) and Kris Letang (2a) combining for 6.0 points.

Boulder Flyers: 21.2
Redliners: 27.5

The Redliners exploded for 11.5 on Tuesday, increasing their lead over the anemic Flyers. Tyler Seguin (1g, 1a) was good once again as was Pekka Rinne, sorta, as he contributed a 25 save win. The Flyers meanwhile continue to flounder, a 6.0 Tuesday keeping the defending champs locked in 11th place.

Ice Cats: 25.2
Bluliners: 24.4

The Ice Cats are now in second place overall, just 3.4 shy of the Polar Bears. Once again thanks can be given to Carey Price as the Montreal wall notched his sixth win of the season, a 38 save shutout (7.6 points). The Bluliners however aren't going quietly as James Neal (2g, 1a) kept GM Hamilton's team close, now trailing Cutshall's Cats by 0.8.

Misconducts: 24.8
Silicon Valley Slashers: 18.0

The Slashers have gone cold as a paltry 4.0 Tuesday dropped the squad into fifth place in the overall standings. The future is also a bit darker for GM Murphy as Duncan Keith will be sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks. GM Smalley is not taking pity on his point-poor opponent, his Misconducts torching Tuesday for 11.1, a number that has placed the two-time champion in fourth place.

PostSubject: Tim Horton's   Wed Oct 21, 2015 3:38 pm

Badger Bob on Tim Horton's in a word: AWESOME!!!

I have visited Montreal a number of times for Canadiens versus Penguins (at both the old Forum and the Bell Centre) and the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Canada auto race. Have spent fair share of $ in Tim Horton's, which I always enjoy.

Also helped Tim Horton's bottom line during my one and so far only trip to Toronto!!!
