WEEK 21 (FINAL)

With only three weeks remaining in the season the contending teams will be leaning heavily on their star players; the Ice Hogs trying to protect their two game H2H lead while longtime rivals the Boulder Flyers and Wild Ducks wage war for the FHL Cup.

Boulder Flyers: 51.1
Wild Ducks: 33.4
• The Boulder Flyers are now 27.2 clear of the Wild Ducks in the race for the FHL Cup and remain two games back of the Ice Hogs in the chase for the H2H title. While two games might seem like a lot with only three weeks remaining in the season, the Hogs and Flyers could play twice. In short, the H2H championship and it's $30.00 purse is still up for grabs.
• When the Wild Ducks needed points the most the team struggled, posting the fourth lowest score of the week. However, with three long weeks remaining - and with Ovechkin, Tavares and Weber leading the charge - the Wild Ducks are by no means out of the Cup chase. The same can't be said of the H2H race as GM Collard's forward-heavy crew are now three games behind the Ice Hogs and one game back of the Boulder Flyers.

Ice Hogs: 45.5
Ice Cats: 30.7
• The Ice Hogs won for the 16th time ($32.00) and maintained their two game division lead over the Boulder Flyers. The week also saw GM Henry's Hogs move into 3rd place in the overall standings; a position that would reward the two-time champion with $100.00 at the conclusion of the season.
• Cast adrift many moons ago the Ice Cats continue to wallow in last place, trailing the 9th place Bluliners by 15.4 - the Laughing Bag, the FHL booby prize, almost a sure bet to be presented to GM Cutshall at next year's draft.

Polar Bears: 30.5
Redliners: 30.0
• By the narrowest of margins the Polar Bears defeated the Redliners, improving to 12-9 for the season. That fact didn't bring a smile to GM Elya's face as his Bears were shoved into 4th place midweek - a position that will yield no cash at the conclusion of the season.
• Playing shorthanded since Ryan Miller's injury on February 22nd the Redliners continue to migrate south, GM Megan's 7th place team now 159.2 behind the leader; their H2H record well under .500 at 9-12.

Dream Team: 52.5
Misconducts: 49.1
• The Dream Team won for the 11th time ($22.00), GM Austin's record again in the black at 11-10. The overall standings find the Dream Team 122.0 behind the leader; 51.3 south of 3rd place ($100).
• It's always frustrating when you lose to a team that doesn't make any moves. That's what the Misconducts experienced after succumbing to the Dream Team. The week wasn't entirely bad for GM Smalley as his squad gained ground on three of the four teams in front of them, the Misconducts now just 27.7 short of the money.

Timbers: 52.7
Bluliners: 39.6
• The Jekyll and Hyde Timbers were the best team of the week, this after recording the league's lowest score the previous week. The bounty of points has left the 8th place Timbers well clear of the basement as they now lead the Ice Kittens by 24.4.
• The Bluliners are trying to avoid an unprecedented "First to Worst" season. Actually, they're not really trying as GM Hamilton hasn't made a move since January 31st. For the Bluliners to avoid "First to Worst" headlines at the conclusion of the season - and the Laughing Bag - they'll have to protect their 15.4 lead over the last place Ice Cats.
