A point-heavy Thursday saw Flyer Jamie Benn net 14.0 (1g, 5a) and Hog Tyler Seguin 17.0 (4g, 1a).

Barring a minor miracle, the 0-5 Ice Cats will have to wait another week (or longer) for their first taste of victory.  A jaw-dropping 29.6 Thursday has put the Ice Hogs, 2-3, squarely in the driver’s seat, their lead now 22.3 with one day remaining in the week.

The Redliners, 1-4, and Wild Ducks, 1-4, are both gasping for air (and rubbing sand out of their eyes) as the Boulder Flyers, buoyed by a huge (though not “Ice Hogs huge”) 22.4 point Thursday, are just Friday away from squaring their won/loss record at 3-3.

Far enough ahead not be bothered by the noise created by the Ice Hogs and Boulder Flyers, the first place Polar Bears enjoyed a pleasant Thursday, netting 10.9 to keep the Bluliners and now-in-fifth-place Misconducts at bay.
