| With an insurmountable 1st place lead, the Boulder Flyers spent most of Friday constructing floats for their highly-anticipated championship parade - the soon-to-be crowned 2021-22 FHL Cup champion leading by 53.6 points after netting 12.0 on the penultimate game-day of the season.The Battle for the FHL CupLeading by only 25.1 points after play on Monday, the Boulder Flyers were bracing for a rough ride. The rough ride never materialized as the Flyers outscored Baba Booey 49.5 to 21.0 over the next three days of play; the Booeys - after repelling the last-gasp advances of the Wild Ducks - to finish the season in 2nd place overall. Jack Eichel recorded his first bonus points of the season, the delicate forward netting two goals, an assist and 7.0 of the Wild Ducks Friday-best 20.0 points; the Ducks roaring past the Bluliners to claim the 3rd place $120.00 prize.The Bout for the MoneyAfter Eichel and (white-hot) defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere (2g) guided the Wild Ducks to a 20.0 point outing, Baba Booey was in danger of surrendering the $250.00 2nd place prize. The Booeys however would locate their composure (and a few points) just in time, the second-year franchise netting 10.0 to stay 4.5 points in front of the fast-charging Ducks. The Bluliners were booted from the money-club. With no one dressed on Sunday - the final one-game day of the season - the 4th place Bluliners will be depart with $0.00 to show for their gallant 27-week effort. The Scrap for the Laughing BagThe 12th Rocks have defenseman Josh Morrissey playing on Sunday. The Lumberjacks have none. If Morrissey scores 111.9 points, the 11th place Jacks are toast.
