| Subject: WEEK 9 (thru Monday) Tue Dec 07, 2021 11:31 am | |
| Thatcher Demko was at his puck-stopping best on Monday - the 3rd round draft pick posting a 31 save, 6.2 point shutout - the Boulder Flyers and their 15.2 point opener moving from 7th place to 3rd place overall, the yo-yoing team now seated just 23.7 rows behind the 1st place Booeys.Cherry Pickers: 5.0 Boulder Flyers: 15.2 A huge intradivsion clash featuring the Probert-best Pickers and the Boulder Flyers, a team that trails the Pickers by a single game. With the two-game swing activated, GM Morgan and his birds could be sitting atop the Probert at weeks end, or find themselves buried in a two-games-back hole. Wild Ducks: 5.0 Central Red Army: 6.1No Grimson team has a losing record, the highly competitive division featuring the likes of the Wild Ducks and their 5-3 mark - numbers GM Collard will use, he hopes, to dismiss the struggling Central Red Army; the Army, 3-5, limping into this match in dire need of points and a win. Baba Booey: 10.0 Ice Hogs: 2.0 There are 14 weeks remaining in the season and already GM Henry is treading in must-win territory, the Hogs boss hoping to consolidate last weeks performance with a victory in Week 9. The task won’t be easy as the Ice Hogs, 1-7, are pitted against the best team in the league, Baba Booey, 6-2, surfing to Troy, Michigan on a tidal wave of best-record, best-team confidence. Lumberjacks: 6.0 Rocky Rocks: 5.8The Lumberjacks are lodged near the bottom of the overall standings yet have a near-best record of 5-3. H2H-wise, the Jacks can’t be taken lightly. Rocky Rocks, 2-6, are in desperation mode; the Rocks - playing like rocks for much of the season - needing a win to bolster their fading postseason hopes. Bluliners: 3.0 Misconducts: 6.0The Bluliners (an Original Six franchise) and the Misconducts (joined the league in 1995) have been butting heads for over 25 years. They’ll butt heads again in Week 9, the Probert-best Bluliners, 5-3, arriving as the overwhelming favorite, GM Hamilton’s squad having outpointed the Misconducts 389.3 to 339.9 over the first eight weeks of the season. Polar Bears: 1.0 SC Cobras: 1.0 The Domi division houses only one team with a winning record. That team is the SC Cobras, the 5-3 franchise jetting to New Baltimore, Michigan to take-on the Polar Bears. Despite their inferior record, the Bears, 4-4, will begin play as the favorite; GM Elya’s 6th place (overall) squad having secured more total points than the 7th place Cobras. LINK: Standings |
