The 2nd place Lumberjacks moved closer to the league’s top spot by collecting a Wednesday-best 8.6 points, defenseman Kris Letang aiding GM Recoskie’s cause by netting his sixth goal of the season (with the help of a goaltender who plays with his eyes closed), the Jacks drawing to within 30.8 points of the 1st place Cherry Pickers.

Rocky Rocks: 16.2
The Lumberjacks caught and passed Rocky Rocks on Day 3, the previously trailing Jacks now leading this pivotal battle of 5-5 teams by 1.4 points.

SC Cobras: 21.0
Central Red Army: 11.2­
A 3.0 point showing wasn’t great but it was more than enough to keep the SC Cobras in front of the Central Red Army, the Cobras and their week-best score now leading by 9.8.

Bluliners: 9.4
Baba Booey: 20.4­
The Bluliners were dispatched to 5th place overall after carding just 2.0 points, the struggling franchise now trailing the upset-minded Booey’s by 11.0.

Cherry Pickers: 18.3
Boulder Flyers: 8.0
Plucked from the FHL Landfill on Monday, goaltender Martin Jones (42 save win) continues to infuse the Cherry Pickers with points, the league’s best team now leading the flatulating Flyers by 10.3. 

Wild Ducks: 16.2
Ice Hogs: 19.8­
The Wild Ducks posted a good 7.0 but the Ice Hogs posted a better 7.8, Henry’s Hogs moving into 4th place overall; their lead over the Ducks now 3.6.

Misconducts: 5.0
Polar Bears: 8.3­
The worst score of the week is starting to weigh down the Misconducts, the once soaring team soaring no more, the underdog Polar Bears strolling into an 11-game Thursday with a 3.3 point lead.
