Captain Sidney Crosby celebrates his team’s money-winning performance, the Lumberjacks erasing the Cherry Pickers 9.0 point "thru Saturday" lead with a sterling 16.0 point Sunday, the Jacks claiming the $10.00 bonus with a league-best 67.9 points.Lumberjacks: 67.9
Boulder Flyers: 34.3The Lumberjacks improved to 1-1 with the lopsided win. More importantly, the first-year franchise moved to within 3.6 points of the top spot; the team currently seated in 3rd place overall. The Boulder Flyers endured a brutal week, the team falling to 0-2. Overall-wise, the picture is just as bleak, the Flyers curled-up (with thumb in mouth) in 11th place, just 4.1 steps from the basement door.
Cherry Pickers: 65.1
Baba Booey: 47.9
Despite being denied the $10.00 bonus (by his brother, no less), the Cherry Pickers are still basking in the glow of a strong 65.1 point week, the Pick beginning Week 3 in 2nd place overall, just 2.4 points behind the league-leader. Baba Booey played better but the team remains winless, the Booey’s nearing "damn-I-better-win-before-it's-too-late” territory as they drag an 0-2 mark into the third week of the season.
Wild Ducks: 64.3
SC Cobras: 43.0
The league’s best Sunday score (19.7 points) dropped the Wild Ducks just shy of a $10.00 payday, the surging squad, 1-1, moving into 4th place overall - just 4.4 points behind the league-best Central Red Army. The SC Cobras fell to 0-2 with the loss, the slumping snakes now last place in two separate categories; overall standings and Canuck division.
Central Red Army: 61.0
Misconducts: 44.1
The Central Red Army faded in the chase for the $10.00 bonus, but scored enough points to reclaim the top spot in the league, the 1st place Army - still perfect at 2-0 - now 2.4 points better than the rest. The Misconducts lost for the first time this season, GM Smalley and his 5th place team now 1-1 on the season; one game back in the Yankee division.
Bluliners: 46.9
Rocky Rocks: 36.4
The Bluliners remained perfect by taking down Rocky Rocks, GM Hamilton’s squad improving to 2-0. Overall, the Bluliners have plenty of work to do, the team beginning Week 3 in 7th place, 27.2 points back. Rocky Rocks tumbled to 1-1 with the loss, the Rocks currently sitting in 8th place overall, 28.0 points back.
Ice Hogs: 43.7
Polar Bears: 35.1Close all week, the Ice Hogs pulled away from the Polar Bears on Sunday, GM Henry and his 6th place (overall) team sitting atop the Yankee division with a record of 2-0. The winless Polar Bears needed a victory but faded on Day 7, GM Elya dispatched to the bottom of the Yankee division with a record of 0-2. The Cup-chase standings find the Bears in 9th place overall, 32.2 points back.
