WEEK 7 (thru Monday) Empty
PostSubject: WEEK 7 (thru Monday)   WEEK 7 (thru Monday) EmptyTue Nov 12, 2019 12:20 pm

WEEK 7 (thru Monday) Fpse58i
Rocky Rocks made the most of a quiet two-game opener, T.J. Oshie (pictured) and Dougie Hamilton combining for 5.0 points, the need-a-win Rocks beginning play in Week 7 with a 4.0 point H2H lead.

SC Cobras: 1.0
Rocky Rocks: 5.0

A monster Domi division clash as Rocky Rocks and the SC Cobras are both seated at the bottom of their division with a subpar mark of 2-4. The winner vaults back into the playoff picture as they’ll begin Week 8 with a record of 3-4. The loser will be tagged with a mark of 2-5; their seven-team postseason hopes taking a solid punch to the gut.

Badger Bob: 2.7
Wild Ducks: 5.0

The Big Boy match of the week features the 1st place Bobs and the 3rd place Wild Ducks. The Ducks will be the seventh team to try and tag Badger Bob with a loss. To date, all have failed. All that and both teams are lodged in the Grimson division, as such, this Week 7 war also features a two-game swing. Tickets for the match are available - if you’re willing to take out a second mortgage on your house.

Polar Bears: 0.0
Vegas Vipers: 1.0

If you start the season 1-6, what are your chances of qualifying for the postseason? The answer: slim. And that’s the situation the Vegas Vipers face as they skate into New Baltimore to take on the Polar Bears. If the Vipers are to win their 2nd match, this could be the week as the last place Bears have struggled. However, despite being lodged in the FHL basement, the Bears bring a solid 3-3 record to the match - and may have GM Miller thinking “tee time” at the conclusion of the week.

Central Red Army: 1.0
Cherry Pickers: 0.0

A non-divisional clash featuring the Central Red Army and the Cherry Pickers. The Army, 3-3, are looking to return to their Domi division perch, the team currently trailing the Domi leader by a single game. The situation is a bit more perilous for the Cherry Pickers as another loss would cripple their chances of donning the Probert crown, the Pickers currently seated at the bottom of their division with a mark of 2-4.

Boulder Flyers: 2.0
Bluliners: 4.0

The last time the Bluliners defeated the Boulder Flyers, Barack Obama was president and apple juice was 99¢ a gallon; the Flyers having defeated the Bluliners six consecutive times over the past three seasons. As such, this is something of a grudge match for the graybearded Probert division inhabitants, the Flyers currently on top of the division with a record of 4-2; the Bluliners curled-up in the Probert basement with a mark of 2-4.

Ice Hogs: 4.0
Misconducts: 3.0

Two FHL veterans will play for bragging rights and a smoother ride to the postseason in this non-divisional pairing. The Misconducts, 4-2, begin play as the best of the Domi division while the Ice Hogs are seated just one game back in the Probert. Despite the Misconducts being the better overall team, the Vegas bookies are calling this a toss-up; the Hogs improved play resulting in a league-best number in Week 6.
