| Trailing by 7.7 points and only Anthony Mantha loaded in their Sunday chamber, the Central Red Army rallied to stun the Boulder Flyers, Mantha’s 4-goal, 14.0 performance providing the Army with an improbable come-from-behind win.Central Red Army: 45.0 Boulder Flyers: 40.7GM Morgan seemingly had a win in his back pocket when Andrei Svechnikov netted two Sunday assists, the Boulder Flyers lead growing from 7.7 points to a seemingly insurmountable 9.7. Then Anthony Mantha smacked GM Morgan upside the head, the unsuspecting Flyers force-fed a foul-tasting Week 1 loss. GM Buker meanwhile had a wide grin on his face as he skated toward Week 2, his unblemished Central Red Army squadron stationed atop the Domi. SC Cobras: 54.7 Vegas Vipers: 14.4Holy hell, it doesn’t get much uglier than this; the SC Cobras posting the best score of the week, the Vegas Vipers, the worst - the prone Vipers carried off the Week 1 ice on a stretcher. Next up, the 1st place Cobras will attempt to consolidate their fast start while the Vipers will try to regroup (after they regain consciousness), GM Miller already sitting in a very deep 40.3 point hole. Misconducts: 37.0 Cherry Pickers: 32.7 The Misconducts used two goals from Roope Hintz to pad their after-Saturday advantage, GM Smalley escaping the week with a hard-fought 4.3 point win. With the victory, the Misconducts take a seat next to the Central Red Army atop the Domi division. The Cherry Pickers, 0-1, now share space with both the Boulder Flyers and Ice Hogs, all three teams squatting in the Probert division basement. Badger Bob: 36.0 Polar Bears: 30.3 The Polar Bears were never able to recover from the 20.3 point spanking they endured on Thursday, GM Elya’s breached Bears falling to Badger Bob by 5.7 points; the Bears dispatched to the Grimson division cellar with a record of 0-1. Badger Bob starts the season with a win, the 2017-18 champion perched atop the Grimson with a record of 1-0. Wild Ducks: 40.0 Rocky Rocks: 37.9 Rocky Rocks rallied on Sunday, a 6.0 point game from defenseman Dougie Hamilton (1g, 1a) drawing the first year franchise to within spitting distance of the Wild Ducks; but that was as close as the Rocks would get, the Ducks holding on to win by 2.1 points. The Ducks will begin Week 2 as the best of the Grimson (tied with the Bobs) while Rocky and his 0-1 record sit alone at the bottom of the Domi. Bluliners: 41.6 Ice Hogs: 25.5 The Ice Hogs endured a slow, mostly unforgettable start to the season, a paltry 25.2 point performance placing the porked pigs 16.1 points in rear of their opening week opponent, the Hogs beginning Week 2 just one step from the FHL basement. With the comprehensive victory, the Bluliners sit alone atop the Probert division, the 4-time champion beginning Week 2 as the 3rd best team in the league. WEEK 2Wild Ducks v. Bluliners SC Cobras v. Central Red Army Misconducts v. Polar Bears Rocky Rocks v. Cherry Pickers Vegas Vipers v. Boulder Flyers Badger Bob v. Ice Hogs LINK: Standings |

| Mantha, Schmantha. Four goals notwithstanding, Anthony Mantha of the Red Wings is being photo-bombed by the Belle Tire logo -- Tireman -- in the lower right corner of the photo. Tireman an advertisement on the boards at, I assume, Little Caesars Arena. Or maybe this is an old photo from "The Joe?" Regardless, to give Belle Tire the recognition it deserves as a proud sponsor of Red Wings hockey, I have attached a full image of Tireman, the company's "happy tire" logo. |

| Belle Tire is a Metro Detroit Fixture.. Granted, they are pricey as hell, but occasionally you can get a good tire deal.. Also likes to hang out at Comerica Park |

| I used to purchase my tires from Belle Tire. Not anymore - not since the day Dino (the store manager, no less) slapped a pricey extended warranty on the purchase without informing me of such. I did get my money back after returning to the store, but no Belle Tire for me. |

| Bad form for sure by Dino!!! Please tell me Paul that all remains well between you and BetterMade Potato Chips. I have to send you a bag of Wise Potato Chips from this area to see what you think.
Wise produced in Berwick, PA. Symbol is owl, wise old owl. And Charlie Weis, who used to coach in pro football and Notre Dame, a member of family that owns the company. |

| IHD, cool photo of Comerica Park. I see Tireman advertisement there in right field. Question about the high rises behind the outfield. Is one of them the old Michigan Central RR Terminal?

I'm still on good terms with Better Made (very good terms, actually). |

| Michigan Central RR Terminal is farther west, not visible from Comerica Park.. I would have to rotate the picture 10-15 degrees closer down the right field line. The Terminal is only .5 mile away from the Old Tiger Stadium |

| Excellent news, Paul, re: Better Made. I will send a bag of Wise your way in near future for taste test. Photo reminds me of what the larger of my two cats, Buddy (on right), does with the bag of dry food if he gets hungry in between feedings and I am not around. The bag starts out vertical. And as a result of contact by Buddy, it ends of horizontal on the floor. Buddy will stick his head as far into the bag as is necessary to get a mouthful. |
