The Fat Lady would have been summoned to this match but the rotund one spent the entire off-season exercising and nibbling on celery sticks (i.e. she’s out of shape). Regardless, FHL underwriters have declared the Vegas Vipers “Totaled” - the first place Cobras leading the last place Vipe by 41.3.

Boulder Flyers: 38.7
Backed by the play of Johnny Gaudreau (1g, 2a) the Boulder Flyers posted the second best Saturday number, the birds outpointing the Central Red Army 21.8 to 17.2; the Flyers lead now 7.7 points with one day remaining in the week.

Cherry Pickers: 31.7
Misconducts: 33.0­
A 3-game Sunday will decide this suddenly tight affair, the Cherry Pickers drawing to within 1.3 points of the Misconducts on the strength of a firm 11.8 point Saturday.

Polar Bears: 28.3
Badger Bob: 33.0­
The Polar Bears outpointed Badger Bob 14.0 to 12.7, but alas, the effort might not be enough, the Bears trailing by 4.7 points with only one tick remaining on the Week 1 clock.

Rocky Rocks: 30.9
Wild Ducks: 38.0­
Auston Matthews ripped two more goals on Saturday - his league best 4th and 5th of the season - the Wild Ducks seemingly in control of this non-divisional confrontation, leading Rocky Rocks by 7.1.

Bluliners: 38.6
Ice Hogs: 23.5­
You can put a lid on this Probert division clash as the Bluliners carded a thick 19.9 points on Saturday, GM Hamilton’s streaking squad now 15.1 points better than the scorched Hogs.
