| After the Bobs Connor Hellebuyck put the lid on his league-leading 44th win it wasn't looking good for the Bluliners and their FHL title hopes. The four-time champion however would rally in the waning games of Saturday, Brent Burns (1g, 1a) leading the improbable charge with a 6.0 point performance, the Bluliners ultimately outpointing Badger Bob 21.4 to 14.8 to seize the lead with now, one game remaining in the season. The Battle for the FHL CupOh my, it doesn't get much better than this, the Bluliners carrying a fragile 2.3 point lead into the final sixty minutes of the season, a makeup game between the Boston Bruins and Florida Panthers; a match that has substantial meaning for the Bruins as they can claim the Atlantic division title with a win. While the Bluliners currently hold the better hand, Badger Bob is playing with a stacked deck, the Bobs bringing four motivated Bruins (Pastrnak, Donato, DeBrusk and Krejci) to the Sunday showdown. Jonathan Huberdeau was given "Hold the Fort" orders by GM Hamilton, Huberdeau, understandably petrified, the only Bluliner skating on Sunday. The game starts at 7:30 pm (EDT). The FHL Cup champion will be crowned soon after. The Bout for the MoneyThe Boulder Flyers leveled the Central Red Army on Saturday, Claude Giroux doing most of the leveling with his first career hat trick (hard to believe that), the Flyers erupting for a league-best 24.7 points to lay claim to the $175.00 bounty - the Flyers lead insurmountable as GM Buker's troops have nothing loaded in their Sunday chamber. The Scrap for the Laughing BagThe contest for the FHL Cup isn't the only heated battle on the planet, the SC Cobras and their 13.2 point Saturday bettering the Polar Bears by 0.3 points, the snakes closing to within 5.6 points of the spent Bears. While 5.6 points might seem like a lot, the capable Torey Krug could shed the Laughing Bag with a better-than-5.6-point-performance; Krug the only Cobras/Bears player skating on Sunday.
