The Central Red Army's Connor McDavid (1g, 2a, 5.0 points) and Badger Bob's Blake Wheeler (1g, 1a, 3.0 pts) each contributed to their team's series clinching wins on Sunday, the two expansion teams advancing to the H2H championship match where they'll play for the 2017-18 H2H crown and it's $100.00 prize.
Semifinals, PlayoffsPlayoffs are three weeks in length (Weeks 23-25). Prize money is awarded to three teams: the H2H champion ($100.00), runner-up ($70.00) and winner of the consolation match ($30.00).Badger Bob: 76.4
Wild Ducks: 47.9
The Wild Ducks were good on Sunday but once again they were trounced by the white-hot Badger Bob, a league-best 18.0 point Sunday providing the Bobs with the league-best week, GM Chester's sizzling squad, with windows down, cruising into the H2H championship match.
Central Red Army: 73.8
Bluliners: 51.7
The Central Red Army posted the week's second best score, a number more than good enough to bury the troubled Bluliners, GM Buker's attack-mode squad advancing easily to the H2H title match where they'll wage war with the best team in the league.
The Battle for the FHL CupSirens, horns, bells, whistles and kazoo's are all blaring at Bluliners headquarters, the team in panic mode as they now find themselves sitting in a deep hole; their fifth FHL championship no longer a safe bet as the Bluliners trail by 27.4 points with only 14 days remaining in the season. Badger Bob meanwhile are two weeks removed from what would be one of the more remarkable comeback wins in FHL history.
The Bout for the MoneyThe Wild Ducks did the most money-damage on Sunday, the team scooting 8.0 points closer to the green, GM Collard's 4th place team now trailing the 3rd place Central Red Army by 10.7. The Boulder Flyers continue to slip further away from a season-ending payday, a paltry 2.0 point Sunday placing the birds 13.6 points in back of the Army.
The Scrap for the Laughing BagThe SC Cobras did little to improve their situation on Sunday, a 1.0 point showing dropping the snakes 30.9 points behind the now in 11th place Vegas Vipers. The Polar Bears are breathing a little easier after Sunday, a solid 14.0 point outing returning the former champion to 10th place.
