WEEK 18 (FINAL) Empty
PostSubject: WEEK 18 (FINAL)   WEEK 18 (FINAL) EmptyMon Feb 12, 2018 1:31 pm

Trailing for most of the week, the SC Cobras used the weekend to catch and pass their opponent, Torey Krug capping the comeback with two goals and 9.0 points on Sunday, the Cobras dealing a serious blow to the postseason hopes of the Wild Ducks.

SC Cobras: 52.8
Wild Ducks: 36.0
On the strength of the second tiebreaker (position in overall standings) the Wild Ducks, now 9-9, still hold the seventh and final playoff card, their grip not nearly as tight as it was at the start of the week. Meanwhile, the SC Cobras seem to be enjoying their role as spoiler, GM Murphy's team improving to 5-13.

Ice Hogs: 42.1
Polar Bears: 37.6

The Ice Hogs won the match they had to win, the team improving to 9-9. Having split the season series with the Wild Ducks, the Hogs sit outside he playoffs as the Ducks are seated higher in the overall standings. Despite the loss, the Polar Bears are still in the playoff picture, GM Elya's team stumbling to 10-8.

Bluliners: 55.2
Ice Cats: 51.5
The Bluliners are now in firm control of the Probert division after defeating the Ice Cats, GM Hamilton's playoff bound team now 12-6 on the year. The Ice Cats slipped to 10-8 and now find themselves two games behind the Probert-leading Bluliners; a spot in the playoffs not yet guaranteed.

Boulder Flyers: 68.4
Vegas Vipers: 49.6

The Boulder Flyers used the best score of the week to soundly dispatch the Vegas Vipers, GM Morgan's surging squad now 5-13. The loss left the Vegas Vipers with a record of 8-10, the team still a game and a tiebreaker behind the final playoff spot with four weeks remaining in the regular season.

Misconducts: 56.3
Badger Bob: 53.0
The Misconducts won this battle of division leaders, GM Smalley's squad improving to 12-6; their lead in the Domi division still two games. It was a bad week for the Grimson division as all four teams lost, including Badger Bob who saw their record slip to 12-6; still best in the league but now tied with the Misconducts and Bluliners.

Central Red Army: 60.2
Mooses: 53.0

By knocking off the Mooses the Central Red Army greatly improved their chances of qualifying for the playoffs, GM Buker's  team now 10-8 on the year; two games behind the Domi leader. The Mooses melted to 6-12, the wayward team with no chance of skating in the postseason.

SC Cobras vs. Boulder Flyers
Vegas Vipers vs. Mooses
Bluliners vs. Ice Hogs
Central Red Army vs. Ice Cats
Polar Bears vs. Misconducts
Wild Ducks vs. Badger Bob
