WEEK 24 (thru Monday) Empty
PostSubject: WEEK 24 (thru Monday)   WEEK 24 (thru Monday) EmptyTue Mar 28, 2017 12:35 pm

WEEK 24 (thru Monday) ETvbaWq
Justin Faulk was the most prolific player on Monday's ice, the 25-year-old defenseman dropping two goals on the competition (9.0 points) - his Ice Hogs team tightening their grasp on the money but frustratingly, unable to put a dent the Wild Ducks lead.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
GM Henry is thinking "what's a guy gotta do to make up ground around here." Understandably so. The Ice Hogs had the best player on Monday but the Wild Ducks were once again the best team, Alexander Steen contributing 7.0 (4a) of his teams league-high 14.4 points, the Ducks now 24.2 points in front. With only 13 days remaining in the season, it's difficult to call the other teams "Cup Contenders," the Misconducts, Bluliners and Central Red Army all 60-plus points back.

The Bout for the Money
While it's probably safe to say the Wild Ducks and Ice Hogs will finish in the money, the battle for the third and final money spot is wide open. Only 4.8 points separates the three teams gunning for 3rd place and it's $175.00 prize; the Misconducts holding the final money card, leading the 4th place Bluliners by 1.6 points.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
Sean Monahan (1g, 3a) carried the Boulder Flyers out of the basement on Monday, his team now 3.5 points better than Between the Pipes. With nothing to show for the day, the Silicon Valley Slashers slid further south, the disengaged team now just 12.6 steps from the cellar door.

Semifinals, H2H Playoffs

Wild Ducks: 14.4
Central Red Army: 10.5

This one is shaping up to be a heated affair, the Central Red Army conceding very little to ground to the Wild Ducks on opening day, GM Buker's battle-hardened troops just 3.9 points back.

Misconducts: 0.0
Ice Cats: 11.3

This wasn't the start the Misconducts wanted, the league's best H2H team already standing in a waist-deep hole, GM Smalley's blanked team trailing the purring Ice Cats by 11.3 points.
