| Mark Giordano is providing the Bluliners with reason to believe, the puckslinging defenseman potting another 5.0 points (1g, 1a) on Tuesday, his second place team now trailing the first place Polar Bears by 17.0 points. The Battle for the FHL CupWith only five days remaining in the season the Bluliners are once again moving in the right direction, GM Hamilton winning his 5th FHL Cup still a very real possibility. The Polar Bears weren't bad on Tuesday, depositing 10.4 points of their own, but couldn't keep pace with the Bluliners and their 16.0 point effort. The Battle for 2nd Place (Overall)The Misconducts have picked a bad time to go cold, GM Smalley's team thus far posting the lowest score of the week. The paltry 21.8 point number has dropped the Misconducts a sizable 38.3 points behind the Bluliners; the $250.00 prize for finishing in 2nd place overall now more dream-like than reality-like. The Battle for 3rd Place (Overall)The Misconducts lackadaisical play has opened the door for the SC Cobras, however GM Murphy's squad has failed to take advantage, another ho-hum evening leaving the snakes 18.7 points behind 3rd place and it's $130.00 prize. The Battle for 2nd Place (H2H)After the weekend it looked as if the Polar Bears were going to wipe the ice with Badger Bob. Not so as another solid outing has lifted the Bobs to within 8.9 points of their H2H opponent; the $30.00 award for finishing second in the H2H division still very much in the cards.
