WEEK 8 (FINAL) Giq6H9e
Polar Bear Mike Cammalleri (right) has been quietly sensational, the 8th round draft pick collecting his 10th goal and 18th assist on Friday, his streaking team now the sole owner of first place in both the overall and H2H standings.

Polar Bears: 46.0
Wild Ducks: 40.0

The Wild Ducks rallied on Friday but their efforts fell short, GM Collard's team stumbling to 2-6; last place in the H2H standings. With the best score of the week, the galloping Polar Bears improved to 6-2. Their win coupled with a Misconducts loss has left the Bears with the best record in the league, a record that has placed them one game in front of five other teams.

Badger Bob: 38.8
Boulder Flyers: 33.6

Badger Bob dusted the Boulder Flyers, GM Chester's team improving to 5-3. The Bobs are now tied with four other teams for second place in the H2H standings. Overall, Badger Bob remain in 4th place, 46.7 behind the first place Polar Bears. The Boulder Flyers slumped to 3-5 in defeat, falling back into the FHL basement on Friday.

Redliners: 38.6
Silicon Valley Slashers: 30.4

The hard-luck Slashers lost again, GM Murphy's second place (overall) team now 2-6 on the season, their record matching the league-worst record of the Wild Ducks. Overall, the Slashers kept pace with the Bears on Friday, their hole still 16.4 points deep. The Redliners are now 4-4 for the year, two games back in the H2H chase, 74.5 back overall.

Ice Cats: 44.9
SC Cobras: 29.6

The surging Ice Cats posted the second best score of the week, the numbers providing GM Cutshall with another win, their fifth of the season. Overall the Cats still have work to do, now 59.0 points shy of the FHL summit. The Cobras are now 3-5, three games behind the 6-2 Bears. Overall, the Cobras slipped to 10th place in the standings, now 83.3 back.

Ice Hogs: 33.1
Misconducts: 29.9

The Ice Hogs pocketed only 33.1 but it was enough to turn aside the slumping Misconducts, GM Henry's squad now 5-3 for the season. The defending H2H champion remains just one game behind the division leader. The Misconducts posted the second lowest score of the week, GM Smalley's outfit sliding into second place, their record 5-3. Overall, the Misconducts remain in third place, now 37.5 rows behind the best team in the league.

Between the Pipes: 38.8
Bluliners: 32.9

By defeating the Bluliners, Between the Pipes improved to 5-3, GM Millers squad now one game back of the H2H leader. The Cup-chase standings find the Pipes in 7th place, 71.1 back, The Bluliners saw their H2H record slip to 3-5, GM Hamilton's team now three games back. Overall, the Bluliners are entrenched in 5th place, 54.0 steps behind GM Elya's Bears.

WEEK 8 (FINAL) Empty
PostSubject: Good work late at night!!!   WEEK 8 (FINAL) EmptySat Dec 05, 2015 12:47 pm

Gotta LOVE IT, Paul, posting at 3:53 a.m.

For future reference, if you are struggling late at night or early in the morning for a headline re: Cammalleri, how about LUCKY 13? Cammalleri used to wear sweater 13 but now wears 23 for the Devils. You also could go with Air Cammalleri, a pun on Air Jordan.

Also, Badger Bob publicly tipping the Penguins' helmet to our No. 1 star of the period, G Thomas Greiss of the Islanders.

Three wins for the Islanders in as many starts, over Tampa Bay, Colorado and St. Louis (last night). 85 saves delivered valuable 8.5 points for Badger Bob.

A future headline for Tommy G: Achtung Baby!!! (since he is from Germany)

I was sad to see Tommy G. leave the Penguins after last season. But was a salary cap move. He certainly is thriving for the Islanders, who happen to be in the SAME DIVISION as the Penguins. Ouch!

In the photo, H Sedin is saying to Tommy G as he skates by, "Hey, we may be opponents here. But GM Chester told me that next season, we're going to be TEAMMATES ON BADGER BOB in the FHL!!!"

But the NHL is the NHL and the FHL is the FHL.

As Michael Corleone (not to be confused with Michael Cammalleri) said speaking to his brother Sonny in Godfather I at meeting to discuss bumping off Solazzo and Captain McCluskey in retaliation for murder attempt on Vito Corleone, "It's not personal, Sonny. It's simply business."
