Patrick Marleau was at his "holy crap" best on Friday, netting three goals and one assist for his Bluliner team.BLULINERS: 60.9MOOSES: 46.0The on-fire Bluliners shellacked the Mooses, improving to a league-best 7-1 with the cake walk win. GM Hamilton's Gretzky division squad is now sitting on a soft two game cushion. The Mooses meanwhile are tracking in the opposite direction as they fell to 5-3 for the suddenly cloudy season.
BOULDER FLYERS: 57.5DREAM TEAM: 24.8For the second week running the Boulder Flyers blasted the Dream Team. GM Morgan's once in the dumps franchise has recovered nicely as they are now 3-5 for the season; two games back of the division leaders. The news is all bad for the Dreary Team as they remain firmly entrenched in the Gretzky division basement; their record 1-7; their chances of recovery, slim; their season now tainted with a $3.00 penalty.
MISCONDUCTS: 59.8WILD DUCKS: 57.7The Misconducts battened down the hatches on Friday, scoring just enough points to fend-off the fast-charging Wild Ducks. The nip-and-tuck victory left GM Smalley with a first place team - tied with the Ice Hogs; better than everyone else. The overall FHL leading Wild Ducks - the only team to succumb to the Dream Team - saw their match record tumble to a dismal 3-5.
ICE HOGS: 47.1ICE CATS: 45.5The Ice Hogs narrowly escaped the Ice Cats, improving to 5-3 with the tightly wound win. With the victory, GM Henry's team remains tied for first place; one game better than their Week 8 rival. In defeat, the Ice Cats saw their match record slip to 4-4 - a record that has left them in the middle or the Howe pack; one game behind the leaders; one game better than the cellar dwelling Ducks and Flyers.
CROSBY SHOW: 64.1POLAR BEARS: 47.2The Crosby Show improved to 5-3 with a 16.9 spanking of the Polar Bears. After eight weeks, the second year franchise is lodged in second place in the Gretzky; two games back of the virtually unbeatable Bluliners. The good news for the Polar Bears: they weren't tagged with a $3.00 penalty. All the rest of the news was bad as GM Elya's sputtering franchise sunk to 2-6 for the now troubled season.
