WEEK 27 (thru Tuesday) O8S3xiw
Signed to a three-game contract on Monday, Tim Stützle hit the ice skating, the dynamic 20 year-old netting two goals, two assists and 10.0 of his team’s Tuesday-best 29.0 points; the pedal-to-the-metal Boulder Flyers now leading the 2nd place Booeys by 46.1 points with just four game-days remaining in the season.

The Battle for the FHL Cup
Mikko Rantanen (still sick) and Thatcher Demko (suddenly injured) didn’t heed GM Morgan’s call for “All Hands on Deck,” but those who did show potted plenty of points; defenseman Quinn Hughes (1g, 2a) complementing Stützle’s outburst with a 9.0 point performance; the Boulder Flyers 1st place lead their largest to date. Baba Booey’s Cup-hopes took a brutal hit on Tuesday as they were held to just 8.0 points, the bruised Booeys now seated closer to 3rd place than the FHL Cup. The Bluliners run at the Cup has been laid to rest, a not-good-enough 13.6 point performance leaving the team 65.3 points back.

WEEK 27 (thru Tuesday) O3x6mXd
The best defenseman in the NHL continues to provide the Central Red Army with hope — hope that they can snag a generous handful of postseason cash; Roman Josi (1g, 1a) guiding his team to a strong 24.4 point showing, the 5th place Army marching to within 26.3 points of 3rd place and its $120 prize.

The Bout for the Money
While Baba Booey was taking a step back, both the Central Red Army and Wild Ducks were taking huge steps forward; the 4th place Ducks - led by the play of emergency-hire Shayne Gostisbehere (3a) - collecting 23.2 points; the jury-rigged Ducks drawing to within 10.0 points of the 3rd place Bluliners. Holding the last money card, the Bluliners have a huge target on their back, the B's and their disappointing Day 2 hoping for more in the points department as they prep for a five-game Wednesday.

The Scrap for the Laughing Bag
The Lumberjacks slipped into 11th place as they were outscored by the SC Cobras, 21.3 to 9.0; the Jacks - despite their near-subterranean digs - in no danger of being tagged with The Bag as they lead the dead-last Rocks by 109.8 points.
